Mary Poppins bit made me cringe though, as did all the Brit asbo kids/athletes going "BRAAAP" to the camera and the American athletes going "USA USA USA USA". There was a moment when the boring french guy was talking when I could have sworn I heard the beginning of B&H slowly fading in... How amazing would it have been if they would have played B&H, then Blackout while the doves of peace were 'flying' around, then went all out with Survival with an orchestra and choir.
