seregon Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 HCM absoloutely. Blackout was certainly close to making me shed a few tears during the last week. And I cannot leave Hoodoo out. I was actually saying just yesterday this is not a depressing song it is genuine sadness. Theres a difference, "full of sorrow" was what was decided on. I also think MOTP, MM, Bliss share a tint of sadness although it is not obvious at first. I know a lot of people describe Bliss as a happy song sure it can help you feel cheerful but I also feel like it was written out of sadness as well so I think both emotions can be drawn from it. The Gallery, (for an upbeat song, its pretty deppressing) Hoodoo kinda , but flamenco bits kinda lightens it up for me, but it's a powerful tune. Erm I'm listening to Blackout an have just listened to Falling away With You, Falling Down and Sunburn (imo the piano bit is very sad ) ..more? Falling away with you always gets me goin when im depressed Just the 'so i'll love whatever you become bit' where he sings a harmony to the original melody. I love it.
