The beginning was so beautiful and then... I busted out with laughter.... reminded me of oompa loompas... but seriously I enjoyed it!! Especially considering what it was written for, it was fitting. The lyrics are certainly not Matt's best, that is for sure, but I am still super excited for them!!

Holy balls

it started so wank but it became so damn good

So many conflicting emotions....

Yup. This album is gonna be stripped down.

Well, I think I really like it. I'll have to listen to a few more times. It's a pretty bananas song

These.

Most of you need to be shot.

So does your face.

I think it's closer to Origin and Absolution than anything from the last two albums, apart from the piano intro bit. The powerful singing and drama are much more old school Muse I reckon, even if the vocals are a bit theatrical sounding in places. I like it

WINE AND CHEESE

Cheese

Love my cheese

And I’m gonna eat

Then I’m gonna drink

And I’ll pour the booze

And I’ll ruin Muse

And I choose to have wine

With the cheese I make

And I’ll cut a slice

Milk coagulates

And I’ll refill my plate

Wipe the cheese from my face

Yes, I was hammered

And really high

When I wrote this song

Like Guiding Light

And Shit Collision

Because my cheese is fine

And I’m gonna driiiiiink

Cheese!

I love cheese!

And I’m gonna feast

Yes, I’m gonna feast

And I’ll go abuse

My supply of shrooms

And I choose to have wine

With the cheese I make

You won’t have my brie

Cause I’ll eat up the place

And I’ll restock my cows

There’s cheddar on my face

Yes, I love my cheeeeeeese

(Eat. Eat. Eat. Eat. Drink. Drink. Drink. Drink.)

Yes, I love my cheeeeeeese

There's some dedication in his voice this time.

I like it more and more when relistening. The ending is a bit too mellow though but everything from his first scream till the end is great.

I hope Dan the Trumpet Man is going to make a return.

+1.

This song has its ups and downs.. Its overkill with the Disney style lullaby at the start.. but when It gets in with the beefy bass riff and drums, you can hear Muse again.. The guitar work is pretty epic. We haven't seen much of matts guitar playing skill for a while not ever since the Kaoss pad made an appearance. So Kudos for that. But the Choir is to much. I don't think it worked.

7/10.
