Have to say Overture's really growing on me. I adore the way Matt sings "I can't forgive you and I can't forget." Absolutely amazing.

 

Redemption's still my favourite of the three though.

Has anyone read a book by Rob Grant called Colony?

 

Although the book itself is a comedy, the story seems shockingly similar to the story in Exogenesis. Basically, earth - due to global warming - is dying. Earth then sets up a project and builds a giant spaceship in order to have a team of experts and specialists travel to all the corners of the universe to find an inhabitable planet, whilst the unlucky ones must stay on earth and are doomed.

 

Although It doesn't cover Redemption, I think it does cover pretty much all of Overture/Cross-Pollination.

Yes it's made me cry - it's the cello at the end of Part 3. The lyrics are completley irrelevant to me - it's solely the music alone that makes Exoenesis amazing and I hope that they are brave enough to go full out with more symphony based stuff in the future.... this is like a mini condensed taster to me... and I love it

Overture is just an incredibly emotional song, Matts vocals penetrate your brain and do something strange to your eyes, they sort of leak.

Finally got my damn cd today! All three parts of Exo are amazing, but I think Overture is my favorite. Redemption makes me feel too emotional. I'm sure that's the point, but meh, feeling sad is sad. I'll still listen to it though, of course.

Part 2 made my eyes water on the first listen but I never properly cried.

The whole symphony is amazing, but Redemption brings tears to my eyes and I can't say that about very much Muse.

It's true it starts rhythmically the same as the Moonlight Sonata but then it become something wholly different. It just takes off and goes into what I'd call transcendence.

it's probably been said already, but 68 pages is far too much for me. I think Exogenesis is incredible, but I think it would have been better if it had not been out on The Resistance, but on it's own EP. Far too superior to be on the same disc as Uprising & I Belong To You (not that I don't like those songs, I do, just compared to Exo)

Yep @blinkinfightuse it has written Beethoven on it, but as JennaFoxLives said, it transforms into something different after. A musician friend noticed it at the first listen, I had to listen Moonlight Sonata to get to see it.
