gocanux
At the Vancouver gig this week, some Musers on the barrier yelled "Dead Star! Dead Star!" during the Starlight singalong, and got a laugh from Matthew in reply. So sign the petition! Join the movement! Let the band know that we in North America want to hear this song, and others that have sadly become rarities in their setlists. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/dead-star/ Thanks! Spread the word! Hat
What is required for this to work is that no one gets selfish and stupid and just goes "but I want Bliss more so I'll call for that instead". I mean sure you can call for Bliss, not it won't exactly help this "cause". Get people to make signs!
HannahG123
As long as people don't take it too far and disrupt the show for others then this could be great If people were screaming dead staaaar all through the gig I was at then I would have laughed at first but it would have spoilt it after a while I know people wouldn't do this though
Museman8989
yeah the main form of persuasion will be a unified time to hold up signs that say Dead Star or something like that on them during the show. shouting will not be our tool as that would definitely be annoying. Tom Wells
Everyone should hold up A4 signs through Resistance. And if Matt does the thing where he offers the mic directly to fans, they should shout it in the mic for everyone to hear. Other than that, nah, would ruin it. Jedi of Cydonia
While seeing Dead Star definitely would be amazing, there are songs I would WAYYY rather hear than Dead Star such as Citizen Erased, Space Dementia, or Showbiz but it's probably the best choice to just get everyone to be unified to one song rather than pleading Muse for a string of different ones. It seems here on this board Dead Star is the one song that is almost unanimously praised and loved so it is probably a good choice to petition for even if I don't agree that it is Muse's No 1 best song. Seaking
I even think Dead Star is a bit out of reach. I wish people would reach into the "old" days of BH&R and TR and get them to revive some of those songs that killed live.
Dark115
I think Dead Star is a good choice because it's such a rare song, that if it does get played we will know it was due to the effort we put into it. It may not be their best song, but it's a song that deserves way more live play than it gets

Dark115
I can see this working, even though everyone shouts it at most gigs If the first few rows of the pit at every show is holding up the same sign at the same time, we will at least get the message through to them. The rest is up to stubborn Matt
FabriPav
They might as well take this badly and never play the song ever again
Ryoma-kun
Shut up about all other songs, concentrate on one, in this case it's Dead Star. Either that or it won't work at all.
AguanteRiver
They might as well take this badly and never play the song ever again We have very little to lose in that case, as they already don't play it. This way we don't have to risk songs that might actually come back on their own, like Bliss.

We Want The Cup
like the movement, but shouting dead star in the middle of the crowd's chance to sing along to starlight is ridiculously rude to the people that want to enjoy the song that IS being played. I actually agree with this... People yelling things during songs others want to enjoy, or holding up signs so no one else can see... It's similar to the people that boo during songs they don't like. I agree too. There was a similar discussion about it in the fb group for it and most people said the same thing. Also if there are signs, they should be held at that person's eye level or below. kueller
Coordinated signs might be the best one. Just everyone holding it up between a song like what has been done multiple times for big messages and stuff, but on a smaller scale. Keeps people from losing view or having "dead star" screams drowning out everything.

I mean trust me I love Dead Star, and want it to be played as much as anyone... heck, I tweeted to Chris requesting it before the LA Shows in 2010 (which by the way did include dead star riffage during the famous riffgasm session two nights after) https://twitter.com/TonyBullony/status/25437856690 But the video I saw of people yelling DEAD STAR over and over again during Starlight made me cringe.
