This songs disjointed, I can't bear to listen, I tried to like it better, but something big is missing Hell, The drumbeat sounds like knights, and synths straight from starlight, Then end verse with a line Like "droplets in the ooooocean" A few old songs, All mashed together, Don't comprise A well made endeavor! Oh Muse, You should never! Have released, NSC (Love Is Forever) Now I've got one more thing to do, One last thing to show to you, I end this verse and go to the last chorus This song, is almost over, And as you might guess, As Certain as ever, The one last thing, The song is made of, Is a piece sounding like Rachmaninov! However, it is perfectly reasonable for someone to expect songs/albums based on a similar style to what the band had put out in the past, and be disappointed when that doesn't happen. But apparently on here that is being elitist and unreasonable. Do love this place, it's a great insight into social phenomena. This happened with Supermassive, and even TIRO before it. Hell even Uprising divided responses. For the record I like all three of those songs. sorry for the hypocrisy, I will actually reply to this reasonable post. Furthermore, to say your disappointed with any style Muse takes shocks me since theyve always changed. This is what I dont get. I might not love NSC, but for gods sake, some of the more hysterical posters on here need to find something to occupy their time. So was just humming/singing NSC, and then i realized something wasn't quite right, so I hummed it again, and then I realized, I wasn't humming NSC, I had started humming "Guy Love" from scrubs! what does this mean??? Because I got used to coming to this place and talking about things other than the band, the non-Muse section of the board is very good, it's active enough to sustain a proper conversation but small enough to feel like a community. I've met good people through this board and even my girlfriend, so why the fuck would I leave just because the original reason for me joining has gone? For some people the change in musical direction of the band has turned them off, but they cling to the hope that the band does something that excites them, so it's a disappoint to them when a band that was important to them doesn't live up to expectations. Personally, my tastes have changed and the band that I loved when I was 14 is one I can't stand at 25, I've not even heard the lastest album in full, but if people like it, fair play to them.
