JJ
I think that Fender guitars generally look better than Gibson guitars. The Strat shape > Les Paul shape. PERIOD. The SG though.... mmmmm yes. always loved SG's since i was like, 5.
NaZZeX
Does anyone have a Squier Standard or Deluxe Strat? Are they worth buying? I just realised that I'd rather go for the SG instead because I am in love with the shape and it's much less expensive. However, I still prefer the Strat shape over it. So it's a toss up between an Epiphone SG-400 and Squier Deluxe/Standard Strat. EDIT: http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/fender-stratocaster/1006 WOW! Should I get this one then? NaZZeX
Help please! Between these two, which one should I get? http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/squier-/71268 http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/epiphone-g-400/889 The Squier looks dead sexy. The Epi looks good as well. Will be played through a Roland Micro Cube. Thanks in advance. I have to go to work now to be able to afford it lol. . Phill
Squire every time for me. The neck heavy factor of the SG would be enough to put me off.
cheddatom
I've owned lots of guitars over the years, and dropped them all - they're fine. My mate dropped his set neck Epi SG and the neck came right off, and the headstock split away from the neck. I don't know if this is typical, but I thought that was piss poor. tomrulez
Definitely the Squire.

NaZZeX
for an extra £70 you could get a fender standard strat which will be much better than the squier 70 pounds is quite a hefty sum. I was intending to spend that extra cash but the Squier just looks so damn cool. I'll see if I can get my parents to chip in a little. If not it'll remain as it is. BTW, which is better for rock, the Strat or Tele?
tomrulez
I'd say strat but I know some people can get a really rocky sound from tele's.
Phill
Tele's can rock. It just depends what else you are playing through. Jimmy Page has used a tele in the past.

Jackplug
I don't know, for straight up rock I'd much prefer a tele over a strat. Just for a more useable bridge pickup sound. Strats always sound quite raspy to me.

ChrisirhC
Change of topic but when Installing your bridge pickup to the fernandes sustainer board are there spare clips? Otherwise you need to search the entire town for the correct one.

NaZZeX
Just a n00b question..... Do all headphones come with 1/4" adaptors? . Could anyone recommend me a pair of headphones under 30 pounds for plugging into my amp for night time practice?
Fernando
No, not all, although many do. Buying the adapter separately isn't very expensive though.
