Samcoma
Has anyone used the Epiphone SG's? Any good? I've heard good things about them, but if you get one go for the standard series. Better build quality etc etc.

The cheaper series are normally only £179 ish.

exitmusic
why don't you save up some more and buy a gibson SG doing them for £450 http://www.andertons.co.uk/acatalog/info_SGSCWBCH1.html

The build quality won't be drastically better then the Epiphone.

Lower price Gibson's can be VERY hit and miss. Quality control at Gibson right now is less then even reasonable.

Where have you heard that the bfg series is having problems? i was joking on that one. in which i gave sam a cookie for (lol) on the page before. although, lower end gibsons ARE worse than higher end epiphones. A bfg is a pretty high end gibson

NaZZeX
Am I the only person who doesnt find the shapes of the Les Pauls and Telecasters appealing? In fact, I dont like their shapes at all. Their brilliance in sound makes up for it though. I find Strat shapes drop dead gorgeous. If there is ONE reason why I wouldnt get that Tele right this very second, it would be its unappealing shape. toff
I used to love the strat shape, and not have much fondness of the tele shape, but over time I grew more and more in love with teles. Now i can bare the thought of not having my tele <
JJ
i too used to not be very fond of tele's. but i love them now
NaZZeX
I think that Fender guitars generally look better than Gibson guitars. The Strat shape > Les Paul shape. PERIOD. The SG though....
