QubiQ Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 http://www.nme.com/nme-video/muse---their-ten-best-songs/962602679001 We count down our favourite Muse tracks from 10 - 1. Which song comes out on top? You'll have to watch to find out... For someone who doesn't have a time to watch it till the end: 1: PiB 2: TiRO 3: KoC 4: Supermassive Black Hole 5: Stockholm Syndrome 6: NB 7: MM 8: Uprising 9: Bliss 10: Cave
forevermusic Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Well... its infinitely more varied than the playlists on MTV. Kudos for Cave, MM and Bliss.
Clunge Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 That could have been so so SO much worse . Good list, refreshing to see a top 10 Muse without Starlight, Invincible, Resistance, Undisclosed Desires, Neutron Star Collision, Feeling Good, etc.
Gareeh Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 fairly decent list. i pretty much agree with the list as a whole, just not in that order.
TrebleRose689 Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 fairly decent list. i pretty much agree with the list as a whole, just not in that order. They definitely picked some of the best, but I also find the order questionable (like TiRO in front of KoC and SMBH in front of SS... Um, what? ) (I edited out my last comment because I realized now that they were just focusing on singles )
Jedi of Cydonia Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 That was a lot better list of songs than I expected it to be, even if they are still singles!
Clunge Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 I'd say Uprising is almost Muse's best single to date. It's heavy, catchy, riffy, dancey, covers Muse new and old and is absolutely beastly live; a great choice of opening single and reflected in a good chart position .
Dominic. Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 I'd say Uprising is almost Muse's best single to date. It's heavy, catchy, riffy, dancey, covers Muse new and old and is absolutely beastly live; a great choice of opening single and reflected in a good chart position . Love Uprising. That and Supermassive Black Hole have turned out to be such iconic Muse songs and are a blast live
Ryoma-kun Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 No Sing For Absolution is criminal. +1 but really, what did you expect? It's not even common in Top 10 here among forumers.
futurellama Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 No Sing For Absolution is criminal. But that's shite If they're going to pick the decent songs, where's Butterflies?
LyraSilvertongue Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 But that's shite If they're going to pick the decent songs, where's Butterflies? SFA is beautiful I thought you thought all Absolution songs were weak?
Killer Rabbit Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 No Sing For Absolution is criminal. I thought I was the only one who thinks it's one of (if not) their best song(s).
ryancoke93 Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Uprising: "This was was a #1 hit in Poland" Epic statistic is epic.
Riveon Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 I'd say Uprising is almost Muse's best single to date. It's heavy, catchy, riffy, dancey, covers Muse new and old and is absolutely beastly live; a great choice of opening single and reflected in a good chart position . But not one of their best songs.
Clunge Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 The list isn't aiming for 'best songs' though, whatever the name suggests, it's just a look back at Muse's single catalogue...
