Being a huge Bowie fan, I'd actually like to see Muse have a go at 'Heroes'. I don't normally like anyone covering Bowie songs, especially one as epic as that, but something tells Muse might be able to do it justice.

I'd also like to see them covering Shine On You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd.

Nooo. Heroes would not work. Or maybe will. Or maybe won't. Ok, I'm in two minds about it. :D

Some kind of a heavy Look Back In Anger version would be cool.

And Panic Station basically shares some Let's Dance motifs. Would be nice to hear what Muse could do with the actual song.

Muse really know how to cover songs neither playing them too close to original, nor destroying the original feel. They seem to get that thin line. Would be cool to hear some more in the near future.

Bulls on Parade - RATM

Kool Thing - Sonic Youth

Toxicity - System of A Down

Rock and Roll - Led Zep - just a brilliant song

LA Woman - The Doors

The Painter - Deep Purple - Great riffs, tight song

Anything Pearl Jam/Nirvana/Alice In Chains.

I reckon they'd handle Aerials better than Toxicity.

i'm not sure if it was written but coldplay's fix you would be great

don't think so

it's too much of a personal Martin/Paltrow thing

if I had to choose any from CP I'd say Politik

'But give me love over this' line would sound stunning from MB

I'd like to hear a cover of "Fever" with weird electronic sounds and guitar soli. If Matt uses his kaoss pad on this he could go completely crazy :D

Something like that is an example weird enough to show what I mean, I guess:

"Change" by Deftones, but with piano on the first verse (maybe guitar on the second like in the original) and the chorus played fast and heavy with guitar and bass. And turn the "ah ah, aaah ah" vocal bit at the end into an extended guitar solo to close the song. Carpenter doesn't do them really- I can think of two, and they flash past in about 10 seconds- so that'd be an interesting change from the original.

Man, if seven years for now this doesn't appear on "20th Anniversary Tribute to White Pony" I shall be sorely disappointed.
