I accept Pop coulda been produced better but there are lots of good songs on it.

Arena, mainly because the audience feels more into it/the gig has that slightly more 'intimate' feel

Depends on a lot of things. Depends on what tour it is, what you want to get out of your gig etc. For instance, if it was the TR tour and you wanted to see older songs, definitely go to the stadiums. This tour it didn't matter too much because they actually rotated songs.

 

I think I prefer stadiums though.

I prefer stadiums too, primarily due to longer concert and bigger production.

 

On the last tour Shepherd's Bush was much better than the O2 Arena gig, although the confusingly terrible acoustics at the O2 may have been part of that.

I hate the O2 as a concert venue. I've never really enjoyed a concert at that place (aside from Frank Turner who I would have enjoyed anywhere ).

As someone who never goes barrier I have few complaints about barrier staff. But acoustically, I'm not keen on it as a venue, although Turner did actually make good of it.

 

Only arena I find works for me is Birmingham LG Arena, although truthfully only arenas I've done are there, O2 and Earls Court (which is worse acoustically).

There are so many, it's probably hard to call a best. I really like the O2 Acamdey at Brixton though. That's probably my favourite venue in terms of atmosphere/acoustics.

Aye Brixton is always a great night out. Shepherd's Bush Empire is also a good venue.
