  1. Matt's best vocal performance of Dark Shines IMO - instrumentally my favourite was probably Leeds/Reading: [YT] [/YT] Also this (even though it's just about the only pro-shot we have of it, it's still fantastic): [YT]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeAWuGY3fYI&feature=relmfu[/YT] Matt using a slide on something that isn't Invincible
  2. To be honest, I doubt they'd start playing intimate venues again now - especially as this album is sounding just as bombastic as the others. Also, it's wise not to actually take anything Matt says as something that will actually happen.
  3. Right... The songs Thom/the band kept the same won't all have been hits - that's one of the best things about Radiohead's setlists, they don't cater to casuals. Yes it would, it would get rid of at least some of the predictability.
  4. Someone clearly doesn't pay attention to Radiohead then. I'm saying they'd still have enough material that casuals know in the setlists if they left/swapped out a couple every now and again. If you're a casual fan, you can't expect the setlists to be tailored entirely towards you - you have to go there expecting material you haven't heard before to be played. It's not all about going to hear songs you already know, it's about discovering new ones too.
  5. 'Tis silly though - Britain gets the chance to show off it's talent to the world and they think "Nah, fuck it, just put on the CD". It'll be interesting to see who they choose to actually play the Olympics though. Muse would only work if they played USOE.
  6. Or (to be more realistic) something like SFA, Invincible or Apocalypse Please. Surely, it bores them to play the same songs at every gig? A lot of it, when thought about, doesn't even make sense. I'm in setlist/general Muse ranting mode at the moment - this thread isn't the best place to try and contain it
  7. I don't mind that they play quite a few singles - it's to be expected of any band. It's the fact that it's always the same singles. Seriously, Starlight, TIRO and Knights never needed to be played at every gig - swap them out for other singles from time-to-time.
  8. I've been thinking lately, by 'dubstep + metal' they might mean that one song has a sort of 'drop the bass' section but with less dubstep and electronics and more guitar + riffage. That could be the song with the drop A riff. It could also be a contender to take the riffs away from Stockholm Syndrome - maybe, if what I'm thinking turns out to be true.
  9. Does anyone think they'll be extending the setlists next tour? I'm very sceptical about it but surely they'll have to - maybe so that the minimum is 19 songs or something? I can definitely see more beef on the horizon if they don't.
