Hello everyone, for a while now I have been googleing around but I could not find what I was looking for. I am looking for the name of a radio show in which the band were guests quite a while ago (during the BHAR area I think). I remember that I found it on YouTube, and it featured the band talking about morning wood and a rather entertaining call by a young girl who had a problem with compulsive masturbation. I just wanted to send the link to my boyfriend, so if any of you remember the name or have a link to the show, I would be soo grateful. Thank you!

I live in the San Francisco bay area. I think it was Machiavelli who said, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. With this in mind I occasionally listen to conservative radio talk shows on my drive to work. One of the shows is on station KSFO with radio host Brian Sussman. Sussman is a former TV weatherman who left TV to air his conservative opinions on the radio, one of which is that climate change is a hoax. The hoax is the product of "lefties" and "elitists" who have intentionally and falsely claimed the earth's climate is warming and human produced (anthropogenic) carbon dioxide is the cause. According to Sussman, the scientists and politicians who support the theory of anthropogenic climate change are part of a Marxist conspiracy, and the hoax of climate change is the vehicle they will use to implement their communist agenda. Sussman's views on climate change are anti-environment and pro-industry. Because of this I was taken aback the other day when I heard the musical lead-in to the show following a commercial break. Sussman was playing Resistance as background while he began talking and the show resumed. It is common for American conservative radio talk shows to use aggressive rock as the lead-in to the show after commercials. I guess they think this gives their commentary an edgy contemporary feel. I assumed, however, the radio station had the permission of the artist/band to use their music. So here's my question: Did Muse authorize a conservative climate change denier to use Resistance to promote his radio show? Given the apparent political leanings of Muse (see, e.g., The Second Law) I find it hard to believe Muse would allow their music to be used by a talk show host who actively argues against the theory of climate change. At the very least, I would like to call the band's attention to the fact that this person is using their music, possibly without their permission and without paying for it. Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Today (June 6) the Danish radio station P6 builded up to the release of Drones and the band's coming show at Roskilde Festival. The programme "P6 Loves …" is about nerding one specific band that is current with a new album, will perform in Denmark shortly, having an anniversary etc. Previous bands that it has been about are Nirvana, Kraftwerk and Rolling Stones e.g. It has a regular host and he then invites an expert of the given band to assist. This time with Muse, it was a journalist who has met the band two times and followed them since 1999. + The programme played six hours of Muse's music exclusively from the biggest hits to some of the earliest b-sides. Even Spiral Static was played. + According to the programme, it had the radio world premiere of Drones (the song). + There were very good analyses of Matt's writing and texts. Focus on the glory, greatness and apocalypse themes. + Absolution was reviewed for an hour with stories about each track. + Phone interview with Rich Costey (the producer of Absolution and BH&R). He told a lot of technical things and anecdotes about Absolution. + The listeners sent in their top three songs to make a top 10, which was played the last hour from bottom to top. 288 people sent in and the results were: Plug In Baby Hysteria Knights Of Cydonia Starlight Supermassive Black Hole Citizen Erased Stockholm Syndrome Time Is Running Out New Born Uprising If interested, the free podcast will be uploaded here: https://itunes.apple.com/dk/podcast/p6-beat-elsker/id714059341?mt=2

Chris gave a 15 min interview with Jonathan Agnew on BBC TMS earlier. It's 98% about cricket/sport (suits me!) but nice to see the band popping up in slightly unusual places. http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/tms.

Xfm will be playing The 2nd Law in full, with track-by-track commentary from the band at 12pm tomorrow (Friday 28 September). I can't find a link on their website but the DJs have been talking about it all week. I have a radio app that records but I dunno how to save it to my computer or upload, so if anyone else is able to record that would be ace! The station's also playing the iTunes Festival gig. I know all this cos I've been listening to Xfm non-stop in the hopes of winning tickets with their competition not cos I'm obsessed with them!
