  1. Yup, if they could've managed to really beef up that final organ note and had the fireworks go off at the same time it would've been amazing. The fireworks would've made more sense at the end of OOS as well, what with it being it's birthday.
  2. It didn't even make sense to play it though. It's flat and dull 99% of the time, it wasn't a successful single so casuals weren't desperate to hear it and it always kills the crowd's mood. Matt's logic really baffles me sometimes. I think I might've preffered if they'd started the show with the general hits setlist and ended on the Origin stage and set.
  3. Same thing happened where I was at Leeds, it felt sort of satisfying to know that that many people were voicing how bad the song was live I wonder, if setlists get worse on the next tour or if the band play more 16-17 song gigs, will they have a full on booing crowd on their hands? It's got to the point now where more and more people seem to be seeing their flaws and complaining.
  4. If he gets self-concious about what fans said about his 'tache, I dread to think what he'd think if he saw what people say about his setlists! Nah, it may well have been a joke consider how short a time he had it. He's been in a band for not far off 20 years now, I doubt he'd start to get fussy about what fans say now.
  5. They've only been doing that since the BHAR Tour Also, putting on a good show relies on many things, not just song selection - they could have a bunch of rarities and perform them horribly and it wouldn't be a good show.
  6. They should know by now though, that they don't need some silly towers or a massive, blocky stage to give the fans a good show. If anything, those stage designs really cut the band off from the fans. Just one big main screen like L/R '11 and Wembley '07 and a few extra effects would be fantastic and should help with the ticket prices. Unfortunately though, Matt seems to have the mind-set of "Moar, moar, MOAR!!".
  7. There's no way they can close with Knights for another tour, surely? That'd just be taking the piss. Also, in response to the Citizen Erased talk going on earlier, I can see it becoming the next Muscle Museum on the next tour. I just get the impression that they (Matt) might want to get rid of it by now and replace it with other songs. I'm not sure where I get that impression from though, just by the way the band (specifically Matt) look a bit bored sometimes or just don't look like they're feeling the energy they should get from it.
  8. I had that mindset for my first gig and I had a great time (although we did get a good setlist). You probably won't mind your first gig's setlist (unless it has UD or GL in it) because you're experiencing everything for the first time.
  9. If I had the money... *shakes fist* Actually, I would rather go to a Radiohead gig this year instead of a Muse one - I was planning on going to their next Wembley gig anyway and that probably won't be until 2013 at some point. Now the challenge is actually managing to get a ticket...
  10. Pretty much the same with me. I'll go to at least one gig mainly to see/experience songs from the new album, whether I go to any more depends on whether the stage/visuals/lighting etc are good enough and if the setlists have songs from the past that I haven't experienced yet.
  11. I'm pretty sure they focused on the fans of Origin enough with Leeds/Reading. I'm not going to get into the rest of your post because not only can I not be arsed but it can generally be summed up with "Wait...what?".
  12. It can vary, Sheperds Bush in 2006 (IIRC it was a promo gig) was free, the only people who paid were the people who didn't win the competition to get a ticket and had to buy the left-overs from people who couldn't go.
  13. Wish I could do that...I've had a dream 'about' Micro Cuts before, an experience like that with a full album like Showbiz or Origin would be pretty damn cool.
