I would like to know everything about doms drums. I know they are tama rockstars, i know the sizes but i would like to know the colour is and what hardware and cymbals he uses. I have heard may different cymbals being talked about but i want to know his exact set up.

  3. Hi all, when the Drones album was release I was loving it straight away. Then I heard about the story behind it (http://www.musewiki.org/Drones_(album)) It was such a beautiful story. I began drawing it straight away. I did include my own interpretation in it though. After I made all the drawings, I thought, let's make myself a special Drones album out of it. The end result was pretty cool so I shared it with people and had great feedback. I'm really curious what the hardcore Muse fans think about it so please share your opinions. I made a presentation on behance (https://www.behance.net/gallery/33647738/Fanart-Muse-album-Drones) Hope you like it.
  4. Just like the title above says. Every song is fair game, including b-sides, covers, and unofficial releases. Blue = Showbiz Orange = Origin of Symmetry Green = Absolution Red = Black Holes and Revelations Yellow = The Resistance Purple = The 2nd Law White = Drones Brown = B-Side Pink = Cover (Note: I'm not including Feeling Good in this because it was released in an official studio album). It'll be hard for me because my opinion always seems to change, but here's my opinion as of today. 1. Exogenesis - Redemption 2. Exogenesis - Overture 3. Exogenesis - Cross Pollination 4. Drones 5. 5. Hi guys, I have just recently released a self-funded, self-produced original album called Cascades for which I am the composer. It is heavily influenced by Muse and Ludovico Einaudi and is very varied, something for everyone hopefully. On the whole, it is a relaxing, mellow listen. If you could have a listen, that would be fantastic, youtube likes and comments are very much appreciated. It is on itunes and amazon should you wish to buy it. iTunes Amazon Charlie Boyle
  6. I'm not sure if anyone has done anything similar to this but I sure haven't found anything. Anyways, I was looking at the lyrics to the songs on Showbiz (The original album so there's no Spiral Static) and I noticed that they sort of, connected in a story. This is what I interpreted it as. (I used random names for the characters so it was less confusing) Sunburn A guy named Joe finds a girl named Sarah and falls in love with her. Muscle Museum Joe has a dark secret (What it is is up for debate) and is arguing with himself as to whether he should tell Sarah. Fillip It is right before Joe and Sarah’s wedding and Joe is nervous that if Sarah finds out about his secret, she will hate him Falling Down Sarah finds out about Joe’s secret and then divorces him. Cave Another girl, Sally, who is friends with Joe, is asking him why he’s so sad, but he just says that it’s nothing to do with her. Showbiz A while later, Joe and Sally have already gotten married and Sally knows Joe has a secret. She keeps pestering him to tell her, and it is driving him insane. Unintended Joe continues to try to convince Sally not to make him tell her his secret, by saying that if he tells her, she might not love him anymore. Uno Joe runs into Sarah somewhere and tries to convince her that they could have had happy lives if she had overlooked his secret. Sober Joe gets drunk and accidentally tells Sally his secret. Escape Joe is trying to convince Sally not to divorce him, but accidentally insults her in the process. Overdue Joe runs into Sarah again and tries to convince her that she’s really missed him since their divorce, but she denies it. Hate This and I’ll Love You Joe decides that he won’t give up until Sarah loves him again. If you have a different interpretation, feel free to let me know.
  7. I've noticed that Muse tend to make a live album every two or three studio albums. Personally, I am not interested in another live album, but what do you think?
  8. They went pop with BH&R, Queen-ish with TR, dubstep with T2L... what do you think they will do next? Just take a wild guess.
  9. I think an acoustic album would be amazing. Like, all the old songs, like Jimmy Kane would sound funky as acoustic.

    My Album Attempt

Hi guys. I'm attempting to record my first original album at the moment and have launched this video and channel as part of the build up to it. There will be a few videos coming, one of which will be A MUSE COMPILATION so if you could keep an eye on it, I'd greatly appreciate it. Would really value some feedback and likes on youtube itself as well, thanks ever so much and watch this space. Charlie
  11. Hello guys. I want to ask u a question about one compilation of B-Sides. I saw yesterday one album that really interested me. There was 2CDs and just like 41 songs. Someone said that this album was released in the 2010th. What was that? There is even a cover here
  12. For me, and this may be an opinion a few others share, the last two albums have been minor disappointments. I understand the need to keep things fresh and there are some great tracks on both The Resistance and The 2nd Law but most agree there are also some stinkers. I would be interested to see what song choices other fans would make in the purely hypothetical situation where the best tracks from the 2nd Law and The Resistance were combined and released as one album after BH+R and how successful or well-received it may have been. After much deliberation, here's my choices: Track 1: Supremacy Fantastic opener, one of the many highlights of the new album. Sounds stunning live. Track 2. Uprising Another good track which launched the band in the US further than any single before, yet it seemed unusual as an opening to an album, hence it is now track 2. Track 3. Resistance Never really liked the tune personally, but I appreciate the themes and the source of inspiration. Plus it smashes tracks 4 and 5 from the 2nd Law out of the water and the "we must ruuuuun" section is awesome! Track 4. Undisclosed Desires The first time I heard this was on BBC's coverage of the band's "A Seaside Rendezvous" concert in Teignmouth and it blew me away. Very Depeche Mode and whilst it has divided fans ever since, I happen to think it's one of the more genius forays into electronic music the group has made. Track 5. Panic Station After a three song run from the Resistance I thought it was time to mix things up a tad. This track should be the albums next single and one of the only songs on the 2nd Law I instantly loved. The funk-pop vibe is spot on and proof the band can do almost any genre and make it sound awesome. Track 6. Follow Me Whilst I think it sounds a bit too much like Nero ft. Matt Bellamy I do think it works and sounds appropriately serious after the funk of track 5. The track also sounds good in an arena (as long as Matt keeps his guitar round his neck!). Track 7. Unnatural Selection OK the riff sounds too much like New Born and not too many people like the breakdown but the relief that washed over me when I heard the entirety of the Resistence in 2009 and a strictly rock track had remained, without the cheese, without the choirs and without the operatic-ness, was intense and for that reason alone, I felt it deserved a place. Track 8. MK Ultra A fantastic highlight of a largely disappointing album. This threw me back to the old days of Muse, the paranoia and made-for-concert riffs. Often doesn't get the praise it deserves except from people on this forum. Track 9. Animals It's fitting that both my favourite tracks from the respective two albums are back to back at the end here before the final "set piece". Animals is a masterpiece. There, I said it. I love Animals. I can't stop playing Animals, that includes live versions. It takes the best elements of old classics like Screenager and Falling Away With You then adds a kick-ass outro, all within a 5/4 time signature, and with creepy undertones about the tools who have ruined our economy. It's hilarious and genius, I love it. Tracks 10-12. Exogenesis Symphony Ultimately it was always going to boil down to this or the final two "2nd law" tracks to close the album and personally, I think there's no competition. Whilst I can appreciate that Unsustainable's guitar-step backbone is inspired and sounds just as good in the flesh, I think that Exogenesis is wonderful, even for those who don't really come by classical music that often, such as myself. It's telling that the 15 minute track was written pre-2009, because it doesn't sound needlessly included or "too much", like most of the string and piano sections on the 2nd Law. A perfect closer for any Muse album. I understand this may seem pointless but I thought it would be fun and I am very much interested to see what others will have as their choices. It also looks like I enjoyed The Resistance more than the 2nd Law, but that's not the case. My reasons for the omitted tracks are below: Madness (Really can't stand the song) Prelude Survival (Some great guitar sections, but the lyrics are AWFUL, plus the choir sounds hugely unnecessary) United States of Eurasia (not bad but too much Freddie for my liking, plus it usurped Butterflies and Hurricanes on the live playlist for a while - inexcusable!) Explorers (Not sure what Matt was thinking with this one, it's like Soldier's poem got a shot of camp straight to the xylophone) Guiding Light (Poor poor song. It's not even the cheese or Brian May-lite riffs which disappoint me, it's just SO DAMN BORING) Big Freeze (Actually don't dislike this as much as others do. I certainly don't think it's the worst song on the new album. The chorus is good) I Belong to You (Not terrible, just don't think it would work in the "combo-album". Plus it was allowed to be in a Twilight movie. Next.) Save Me Liquid State (Both of Chris' tracks are admirable efforts, and I'm glad someone else had writing and vocal duties for a change, but still don't particularly listen to either song. Sorry Chris!) The 2nd Law: Unsustainable The 2nd Law: Isolated System (Like I mentioned, it was this or Exogenesis. Yeah, exactly)

  16. ok here is my deal as i do love basically every muse song ive ever heard and also own 6 albums from them(Showbiz Origin of Symmetry Hullabaloo Absolution Black holes and Revelations and ofc Resistance) i have recently been searching youtube this site and other weird locations to find a whole mess of extra songs that are being refered to as B side songs which i guess means extra songs placed on the singles such as the Groove is on the time is running out single. anyways i was thinking there should totally be a whole collection of these songs on one album so that i may buy it and obsessively listen to it. agree?
  17. I'm a Yankee Muse fan who's been casually into Muse for a long time, but I just recently started going beyond the same few songs they play on the radio in the States and realized that Muse is one of the best bands of my generation, bar none. I've bought a ton of their songs already, and I want to buy one full-length to start out. So could you guys please help me out: OoS or Absolution??? Seems to me like they're the best, but if u think others are better, state your case. Thanks!
  18. Does anyone know of an Instrumental version of Unintended? I'm getting married, and we'd like it to be played during the ceremony, as the song means a lot to us - but i can't find a version! Is there one, anyone know where i can download it if there is? Cheers!
  19. As a new Muse fan, I watched Glastonbury from the comfort of my living room, and whilst watching in both amazement and wonder, a thought popped into my head: What if this were on DVD and/or CD? I thought my prayers might be answered by backtracking Muse's Tours, and I found that some of the Absolution Tour was done at Glastonbury, and I was hoping that it would come to be a new Album for the Band, much like HAARP. I wish, but alas, this may never come true. I was wondering if I could get any input into this topic, as for all we know, by just saying we want it to be real, it may be made so. So I urge you: PLEASE HELP ME TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!

  22. Yep, Gigwise is doing yet another poll, and this time it's for the greatest album cover of all time. So far Muse is winning with Absolution, and at number four with Black Holes and Revelations.
