Hopix
The Reading/Leeds 2011 performances of Space Dementia are the worst ever. Matt completely over does the hero voice. The hero voice can be awesome (see Hyper Music), but he just made it sound shit during Space Dementia. It sounds like he' holding tons back and at times sounds strained even though he really isn't. I think the hero voice works really well on Space Dementia, sounds very booming and powerful which fits the song.
OriAr
What do you enjoy most about Guiding Light? The guitar solo, i find it very nice and even romantic. And the vocals aren't half bad either.
Hopix
Guiding Light is okay, it's just not that good when compared with other Muse tracks that could easily go in it's place.

I'll give you the guitar solo, I suppose... Romantic though? What about the lyrics?

The solo is romantic, not the lyrics, which are related to romance anyway, just a lack of it I guess.
OriAr
I'll give you the guitar solo, I suppose... Romantic though? What about the lyrics? They are okay. Guiding Light isn't supposed to be a massive song, like the songs on OOS and BH&R, It's supposed to be a very cheesy song, something it does very well and and the lyrics certainly reflect that. Alec Ferris
Think I might go for Animals on record and Stockholm live. Second Stockholm live. I think it's got a really great tone, just suffers a little from Abso production.

That, I disagree with. It's supposed to be a stadium 'anthem'.

Agreed. At the time it seemed awesome, but watching it back through the 360 app... It was pretty unfitting.
altbecky
It seems like the particular Space Dementia vocals problem was less about trying to imitate a certain style of singing and more about trying to project properly while being in his lower register. IMO.
serpentsatellite
That, I disagree with. It's supposed to be a stadium 'anthem'. I'm pretty sure Bellamy actually used the words "cheesy 80s music" when talking about the influences of the song. A lot of "stadium anthems" are cheesy. Tom//P
I find Survival boring live. Is that because it's a song you can't really jump around to? The hero voice can be awesome (see Hyper Music), but he just made it sound shit during Space Dementia. It sounds like he' holding tons back and at times sounds strained even though he really isn't. Interesting.the vocals are the best bit for me. Anyway, the whole song is over-the-top! Is it so unfitting that his vocals are?

They're just unnatrual, and I wouldn't call everything epic over-the-top.

FabriPav
I hate the vocals in the 2011 Space Dementia. Don't you think they fit the song? Didn't you find his 2001 voice too whiny for it? I guess not.
kueller
Abso/BH&R era were a good balance with the vocals. But they were also weaker instrumentally. Fuck.

They definitely don't fit the song. The only version that works for me is the one actually on Origin.
