janine Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Cheers & Allons-y. But fuck, that's Doctor Who....
Shrinking Universe Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Yeah, but note that he pronounces it wrongly in that YT vid, putting in all the wrong letters! That being said, I doubt the pronunciation under this link is actually right. Could a pwoper Brit comment on that? So yeah, apart from that: cheers and proper. Living in the UK atm, so it's a daily business, really:LOL: Or is the correct pronunciation?
mrs_bellamy_ Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I can now say the alphabet backwards. Not as good as Matt though, obviously. I've always been able to that and I can do it like Matt
fiofo Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I've started saying 'cheers' far too much, and other little habits that the musers on here use (like pronouncing 'awesome' as 'ossum'). People around me haven't a clue as to where I get it all from. It gets tiresome trying to explain myself...
MuseMegz Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I can say the alphabet backwards at around the same speed as Matt, and i find myself saying cheers sometimes aswell now. And to be honest, ive always talked quite fast and not been understood at alot of times ..
happypanda Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Well I say cheers, easy tiger, pwoper, sit the fuck down (one of my favourites), floccinaucinihilipilification (I try to fit that one in occasionally). I now sometimes speak faster, and I even find that some particular words I say like how Matt would say them, and I have to pause and say it again while concentrating to say it how I used to.
Twonkie Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 I found myself doing the Matt mic thing where, when he hits a high note, he moves away from it... I was doing this in my room with no mic
Becks Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I find I'm using the words "faff" and "spaff"...and people have noooo idea what it means.
Jemma Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Yeah, I do all the typical stuff, and I talk fast anyway so.. hmmm...
Furygirl Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I wonder how many people have read 1984 who normally wouldn't? I just got a copy from the library, but haven't started it yet.
Clunge Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I wonder how many people have read 1984 who normally wouldn't? I just got a copy from the library, but haven't started it yet. I have three copies of it .
Glorious Resistance Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Cheers, pwoper, astewoids, lots of hand motions, that little lip twitch matt has when he talks...
Pistol Star Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 My best friend suggested I read 1984 back in 2004, and also The Da Vinci Code in 2005. Now I'm just waiting for the day when Matt reveals the inspiration for the next album is Crime and Punishment.
Elise<3sMuse Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I can say the alphabet backwards as fast as Matt (possibly faster ), and I can say floccinaucinihilipilification (or however you spell it ) I've picked up 'cheers' quite a bit & I'm definitely using "phwoar" a lot I've also used "lost the plot" a fair few times And Ive picked up matts funny laugh quite a bit, as well.
Rhinestone Eyes Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I laugh like Matt now. talk fast and say all the catchy stuff. hand movements too. i always had a stutter. but now its horrible.
rainingradioheads Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I think I've always had a ridiculous amount of hand motions, but they might have increased. I've started saying cheers on occasion, but I gathered "What are you on about?" from another person on the forum, does that count?
heart03 Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I used to move my arms and make random faces before get into muse , but i think they get worst. I have the belly laugh (and i used to have it before anyway ) , and i say cheers when i can
cherry lips Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I used to move my arms and make random faces before get into muse , but i think they get worst. I have the belly laugh (and i used to have it before anyway ) , and i say cheers when i can i cant say cheers cuz on bosnian it sound like something that my dad says....and it sounds bad....
CydonianCrystal Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I wonder how many people have read 1984 who normally wouldn't? I just got a copy from the library, but haven't started it yet. I'm halfway through it now, I was always interested in reading it, but after the release of The Resistance it pushed me to actually getting hold of a copy. Good stuff too, not as hard reading as I was told it may be.
Natural_Disaster Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I say cheers more often than thanks now Some guys let me past at the cinema the other day and I said 'cheers' and they looked at me like And I say pwoper and wock 'n' woll,
Wingardium LevioSIA Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I say pwoper. I already talked fast and with my hands. I also now keep having to stop myself from saying "verse moi" as an exclamation.
hyper_chondriac_muser Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Of course! I say cheers and bollocks all the time. And I can't say 'proper' anymore, it has to be 'pwopah' . There are shitloads of expressions that, if you devote as much time to this band as a loser like me does, you'll just subconsciously start saying! I even quote song lyrics without realising ! (I shouldn't have admitted to that!) I'm even kinda developing a high-pitched Matt-like laugh these days ... but nowhere near as hysterical as the man himself!
