Having listened to it all (finally), I'm not quite sure where to place it. Probably something like this:

It's not a million miles away, just doesn't have the riffage I was expecting (which they put in the globalist TBF!)

This has probably been covered elsewhere but for those of us in the UK that have pre-ordered the album/dvd from the Muse site, is delivery expected on Monday or is there any chance of it being earlier?

I would think Monday but don't think we've heard anything saying differently.

 

On another note, I finally get Defector. Starting to like it. 7/10 but might go up even further

Despite all my little unhappy parts with the album, I have to say, best thing Bellamy's ever done as a whole album with his vocals, both melody wise and with just the quality of his vocal

The part where this kicks in is out of this world. Maybe the best heavy stuff I have ever heard from Muse. I swear, I get completely lost. And I can't get over how frustrated it leaves me when the piano kicks in. This goes to all you whining bitches asking for a 'piano ballad'. There you go.

Yep, it's growing on me too. Unlike Big Freeze, which a lot of people compare with Revolt, this is growing on me. I didn't like BF the first time I listened to it and I hate it now . Once I get used to the tempo, the chorus is cool and I like the theatrical feeling of the verses. I kinda enjoy the "solo" too. But yeah, pre-chorus is awful

Quite obviously because we never found out what the countdown led to, and hoped it would be more than the riffs we had already heard.

After a few more listens, I feel Globalist is a masterpiece. It might know feel cohesive at first listen, but the more you listen the better it gets. I had a similar feeling with Exogenesis.
