The2ndwub
I'm hearing alot more BH&R than OOS, but it still sounds great. Also people saying that it sounds similar to killbill, they literally mention the film in the video so it's clearly intentional.
museiscool
"The first half sounds like something from a film, then it goes to a middle section that’s metal then the outro is a big piano ballad,” This is a direct quote from Matt from some interview. Maybe everything he says is actually literal? Like the first half being literally from a film.

carnage94
Did anyone heard the background female voice countdown while they were playing that helsinki riff? Think when it gets to zero the riff will fucking explode, so hyped
jonisdead
Getting slightly tired of seeing "Helsinki riff", the only thing similar between the two is the tempo at which they're played

Asmodius
Yeah I'm really glad they didn't spoil what happens at the end of that countdown. Same, though obviously itll progress this way: L'Arena>count down>matt's voice reversed>3-2-1>riff>"heavy metal">piano ballad

Asmodius
He says the globalist "is the end of the album", but isn't it Drones? Yeah, this can mean a few things: -Globalist is the litteral end, Drones is instrumental (PLEASE NO) -Globalist is the end of the theme of the album -something else i forgot
LewisF
He says the globalist "is the end of the album", but isn't it Drones? Drones may possibly be an instrumental, I think that's the idea that people have, or that when the video was taken The Globalist was originally set to be the closer, only to be changed later on. Jobby
Did anyone heard the background female voice countdown while they were playing that helsinki riff? Think when it gets to zero the riff will fucking explode, so hyped While that would be amazing, I'm wary of getting too hyped up. If it doesn't pay off, the disappointment would be real. FabriPav
Any links if so. No it didn't. Just the making of video of it. The countdown section really could be one of the coolest bits of a song they've done in years and years.
Jobby
Tbh, I'd rather Drones be an instrumental/ambient Collateral Damage kind of track than a fully fledged one. Everything about The Globalist makes it sound like a closer, or at least the last 'proper' song, to me.

LewisF
Where can one see the making of video? Was it mailed to people? If you type in Muse Drones on YT it should be about 4 vids down. And no, it leaked.

FabriPav
Globalist ending with a piano ballad makes me think Drones could be on the rockier side of instrumentals (ie. not a Collateral Damage or an ambient piece), if it is indeed instrumental. Or maybe they'll literally go drone/post-rock with it.

When I think of countdowns in songs I think of generic mainstream house music e.g. What if The Globalist is a collaboration with Hardwell?
