  1. Can someone PM the presale code/link plzzz <3. I don't seem to have gotten one... (You do get one just for being a member of this site right? I usually get them...)
  2. I must have a terrible memory, I don't remember seeing them at all . Those lazers are brilliant. That's the first positive thing I've ever said about Follow Me, shame it wasn't about the actual song
  3. That was it, it was this specific video I seen. Looks so impressive from this far back. Especially just as the first chorus is ending and then the second verse edit: Fuck I forgot how good the lazers were for New Born on The Resistance arena tour
  4. I don't actually think the visuals are that impressive, it doesn't look any different than the setup for any other big name EDM act except on a center stage mmm gotta love lazers. There's a video of Stockholm Syndrome at some festival in America on The Resistance tour with some mental lazers going into the sky if anyone can find it I'd love Matt to take some inspiration from Eric Prydz
  5. This is what confuses me. As Rob Da Bank isn't a cunt and wouldn't trick people into buying tickets under false pretentions. When Matt originally said they were playing Bestival, they were heavily rumoured to be headlining above Duran Duran who were confirmed at the time to be sub-headlining. Since then Duran Duran have been bumped up to headline the festival and a super secret special act has been added to the Saturday. So maybe matt has been told to be super special ultra secret with the fact they're playing Bestival now as they're not going to be announced for it just like The Libertines at Glastonbury this year. I just can't see it not being them even with Matt denying it. Who else could it be?
  6. The guy said it today and he's not really a bullshitter, no idea what they said about Download, probably mentioning that it was the only UK festival they're doing this summer or something
  7. "So I just bumped into Matt Bellamy at Newton Abbot station (he was waiting outside for his mum to pick him up, bless), so I asked him if Muse were playing bestival and he said "no", I said I thought they were the special guests and he said "definitely not". Said about download and something about a UK tour coming up early next year. Nice guy. Very polite. So there you have it folks. Straight from the horses mouth. Unless he wasn't prepared to say yes, he seemed pretty adamant though" boooooooooooooooooooooooooo I was so convinced it was them
  8. No, Butterflies and Hurricanes is my favourite song (subjective fact) and Citizen Erased is their best song (objective fact)
  9. Uprising - meh Resistance - good (but horrific live) Undisclosed Desires - surprisingly I hated it for years but now I like it... USoE - good Guiding Light - More like Guiding Shite, amirite? Unnatural Selection - Good song other than that 2 minute shitty solo Mk Ultra - Fantastic song, one of Muse's best I Belong To You - Gash All 3 parts of Exogenesis - meh It's better than The 2nd Law, I'm not sure about Drones though. Worse than everything else by a country mile
  10. Unrelated but who's in the gif in your sig? I'm unsure of who the girl is and the guys at the back look like Daft Punk to me but I don't recall them ever making an appearance like that...
  11. Where you on the right side near the front? I noticed halfway through the set some guys next to me snorting what I believed was MDMA at the time. Like fairplay but it was in a really lively section and I'm pretty sure Stockholm Syndrome was the next song on, fuck being in a mental crowd when you're high on MDMA, dunno how they managed. That said if it was cocaine then it makes a lot more sense. I was at Coventry and what with it being the first gig of the tour I had no idea what the setlist would be like, when Guiding Light started I was more confused than anything, just why?
  12. Rob Da Bank is the owner of Bestival if you don't know. He's a pretty swell guy so wouldn't bullshit like this, so it looks like Muse are nailed on as the special guest at Bestival (read the replies underneath the initial tweet) Muse followed by The Chemical Brothers, what a fantastic night that's going to be The only question is how longs the set going to be?
  13. Everyone I knew on Muselive is. Muselive was pretty much dead before the complete site change anyway unfortunately. The vast majority of the regulars had left due to having a lack of interest in the band anymore. Quite sad really, I used to love talking to everyone on that. Oh well I still talk to a few people now and then from there on Facebook
  14. So all 4 headliners are announced for Bestival, Muse were strongly rumoured as the Friday headline but now previously announced act Duran Duran have been bumped up to that position. This suggest something fell through with booking it. However there is still a "very special guest" to be announced on Saturday who is playing before The Chemical Brothers and Annie Mac which could potentially be Muse, a twitter conversation with the Bestival page went like this: Carolyn Littleton Is this all the headliners or is there still one to be announced that will follow Duran Duran on Friday? Like · Reply · 2 hrs Bestival All headliners now announced but we still have a very special guest to announce plus a selection of other acts across the line-up smile emoticon Like · 4 · 2 hrs Carolyn Littleton Is there is a spot for Muse or is this ruled out now? smile emoticon Like · 3 · 2 hrs Callum Baker are muse there or not gawwwd Like · 1 · 2 hrs Bestival we still have a very special guest to announce! Like · 3 · 1 hr Carolyn Littleton Eeek!!!! I can't stand the anticipation!!!! smile emoticon Like · 1 · 1 hr Carolyn Littleton So excited... love Bestival!! xxx Like · 1 · 1 hr Con Mc Allister So muse are telling lies then. Like · Reply · 3 · 4 hrs Chris Eames Looks like it. Gutted AF. Like · 2 hrs Bestival we still have a very special guest to announce! Like · 5 · 1 hr It's strange for Matt to say they're playing Bestival and pretty odd for the twitter page to post teasers like that. Maybe Muse could only play the Saturday at Bestival but since The Chemical Brothers were previously announced as that days headliners they could only play underneath them. It could well be Muse play a pretty short set (1 hour to 75 minutes) then Annie Mac play while the production is set up for The Chemical Brothers and then The Chems close the day off
  15. Didn't stop The Who from doing it. They were due to play Paris on the Sunday of Glastonbury but they decided fuck that, cancelled it a few weeks ago and were announced for Glastonbury not long after. Muse won't do that though, they're not bellends, well maybe one of them is but the other 2 would talk him out of it
  16. "There's 2 headliners to be announced, Muse and someone else, and the "someone else" is rumoured to be Kylie Minogue who has a big London festival show next weekend. Bestival are probably holding out until after that show and then announcing both headliners (and the rest of the lineup) next week. It's also right after Glastonbury so with people seeing that on TV they'll be itching to go to a festival and if Bestival announce one of the biggest bands in the world right after then it'll be a massive help for ticket sales, especially since Bestival has a reputation as a mini-Glastonbury. All about maximising potential ticket sales" Posted that in the Download thread, so next Monday (or sometime next week) is my prediction
  17. Don't forget Saturday is fancy dress day Yer there's a lot of a dance music at Bestival, especially after hours where they have stuff like The Port Stage, which is an old abandoned ship turned into a sort of dj booth with loads of effects and is on till about 4am everynight. They've got stuff for everyone
  18. He wouldn't of mentioned it unless they were and also with the fact that Lollapalooza Berlin is the same weekend makes it almost certain There's 2 headliners to be announced, Muse and someone else, and the "someone else" is rumoured to be Kylie Minogue who has a big London festival show next weekend. All about maximising potential ticket sales 2 things though 1) You can't get a day ticket for Bestival 2) It's a ballache to get to It's such a great festival though I can't recommend it enough, it's so much better than the whole "gig in a field" vibe that R+L and Isle of Wight Festival's have going
