Alec Ferris
"I see magic in your eyes" is totally okay by muse standards imo. Not if it's on a song that's trying to be dark. It'd be wrong if it appeared on Screenager or Ruled by Secrecy.
Gareeh
Just remember Fury was a b-side and Endlessly wasn't. This is Muse we're talking about, they don't have a clue about cohesiveness.
Tim59
What's so hard to understand about the concept of this album? This is where someone leaves the love, or pop if you will, behind, and become cold, hard or whatever you wanna call it, and that's when the rock comes in. Yeah that makes good sense actually. -FutureStar-
Oh my god, the transition between this and Psycho, lyrically: Dead Inside is about losing love. Psycho opening lyrics "Love will get you nowhere." PERFECT!
Alec Ferris
Yeah that makes good sense actually. But shouldn't the rock come in, hard, with the loss?

sam_jk
The previous 3 albums have opened with a pop song (if you include SMBH), but only T2L was a bit of a let down for me.

On that note am just gonna reassert how good a transition Explorers to Yes Please would be live: "Go to sleep..." --> "I CANNOT SLEEP"

Carbo
See, if it doesn't work in the context of the album, cut it and put something else in. A context we don't even know yet. If it won't fit once we hear the full record, fair enough. But I already feel like the transition between this and Psycho is done decently. CarpetBomber
Just watched the lyric video and can't think of anything other than James Bond! The new movie has got Muse written all over it. First Survival now this. I so hope it happens.
Bumpypotato
One of my fears with Muse doing a concept album was that they might try to shoehorn the themes into the songs, regardless of the fit. Sigh.

kueller
So far my prediction the entire album build up would be people arguing opinions as facts over each other is true. It's weird considering this is musically less varied than T2L so far and not very structurally different yet there seems to be more divisiveness in fan reactions. They're awesome because they're goddamn relatable. I can't remember the last time Muse gave me genuine feels, which is probably why this comes out of left field and hits the fuck home. I wasn't getting many feels personally maybe that's why.

Yeah, it's cool that it makes sense on the album, but the song sucks.
