Gareeh
The first two lines don't relate to the rest of the song and are pure cheese but apart from that the lyrics are
Jobby
Don't get the comparisons to Supremacy. Supremacy was too slow/plodding/uninspired, this actually has some energy to it. It's not the second coming that some people are making it out to be but it's pretty decent and it'll be great fun live, unlike Supremacy.
FabriPav
ok, maybe change "amazing" to "pretty great" and "pretty great" to "pretty good"
Dee3Dee
I'm loving the QOTSA-vibes, personally. Gonna be a great song live. Possible opener I think.
ninsp
It's a good song. It's got the heavy, uncontrolled, low-polish sound that Muse has been missing for a while. Matt's voice is on-point, the guitar riff is great. The people who say it doesn't go anywhere, so, do you not like Dead Star or Assassin? This is proto-typical pre-Resistance Muse metal/rock. I can headbang to it, and it's not electro-pop shit. It's got groove.
AdamCee
Yeah, no. It's good but it's not that good. I agree for the song yeah, But the style of music, I think the album as whole could be, if you see what I mean?
CatchHellBlues
The first two lines don't relate to the rest of the song and are pure cheese but apart from that the lyrics are IDK, I see it as talking his subject into become his drone. Fits fine to me...
Bumpypotato
Interesting that people are calling this generic. What on earth do you think half of Muse's songs are? Hysteria is hardly a mind-blowing experience.
Anxyous
So Muse appear to become the band they've promised to become since BHAR. With a HAARP riff going on forever over a structure heard many times before. Matt doesn't really channel a drill sergeant enough to actually do the "your ass belongs to me now" line. I sense a lawsuit from The Doors incoming.
CitizenTyler
Much more like it after the last 2 albums! Live tour of this album could be the shit
FabriPav
But still yeah, the energy is obviously there. The mix sounds great too.

CatchHellBlues
Who recorded them "Aye Sir" vocals? Totally sounds like Mike Muir circa 1983

That Little Animal
This is exactly what is bothering me about it. It never goes anywhere. For being 5 and a half minutes long, nothing really happens. This one could have really benefited from Muse's tried and true "End with a completely different riff" ala Stockholm, MK Ultra, or Unnatural Selection. It's an album track, and it fits the theme of relentlessly pounding someone's mind to break them down. Besides, even as a Stockholm outtro I wouldn't mind this riff going on for five minutes live. Tom//P
Hysteria is hardly a mind-blowing experience. Saying any song is mind-blowing is a bit much but Hysteria is up there as one of the most exciting and best muse songs.
Anxyous
It's an album track, and it fits the theme of relentlessly pounding someone's mind to break them down. But Muse aren't sophisticated enough to use that artistically.
