jediknightanya
'The Music Week' on BBC 6music had an interview with Matt and Dom at the Producer's Guild Awards on Sunday - download to listen here. They once again confirm they'll be headlining Glastonbury, but Matt then goes on to say they are planning to get Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis up on stage with them to do a cover of John Lennon's 'Imagine' in celebration of the festival's 40th anniversary. The interviewer doesn't seem to believe him, and, knowing Bellamy, I'm not sure we should, either. 'Tis a lovely idea, though!
laurenn1
Awesome lol love the start Matt:'Hello this is Matt from Muse' Dom:'And my names Dominic, from Muse' Matt:'And we've produced an album.... by Muse and uhh.. we're in Muse' and at the end the interviewers ' are you serious?' Matt: 'Deadly.'
MuseBrasil
shocking, intriguing and interesting. source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/news/20100212_music_producers_awards.shtml
CarrieB
Awesome lol love the start Matt:'Hello this is Matt from Muse' Dom:'And my names Dominic, from Muse' Matt:'And we've produced an album.... by Muse and uhh.. we're in Muse' and at the end the interviewers ' are you serious?' Matt: 'Deadly.' I have a feeling they were told to introduce themselves and what band they're from, hence overdoing it! I reckon with that "Deadly" reply, Matt was joking about Imagine. I'm not sure about Michael Eavis singing it. It would have been nice if Muse had done it. Thanks for posting. Their interviews always brighten the day, however short. CarrieB
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okd3hLlvvLw Just wanted to post it. Makes me weep. Beautiful song. As Matt says: wise words.
Niall
I wouldn't trust Matt on this...it could happen...but this sounds like one of the crazy ideas.
CarrieB
Muse should do it! I can imagine it. I can't see Michael Eavis singing it, for one thing he's a committed Methodist according to wikipaedia. I expect Matt was joking, but it's not that much of a crazy idea. Lizzie_loves_Muse
I tweeted Emily Eavis about this yesterday to see what she thought, she tweeted me back saying that it would be great, and that her dad does a good Sinatra I'm not gonna bet on the fact it'll happen, but now she knows, maybe she'll say something to them about it

Obi
I really hope it's a joke. I personally find Imagine one of the most dreary, miserable songs ever created.
