  1. Yay! Forgot that was my av if I'm honest! I had a real Smithsy phase. :3

  2. Mateeeeeee, I was dying for Luca. Didn't get it, but they're still in top 5 gigs ever for me. Millstone pretty much summed up my life over the last year and it made so much more sense live. That sounds soppy but whatever :p

I do English, but I do other subjects too as I'm still in first year

  3. Not bad, plugging away at uni. And yep :3

  4. Alexis on Fire. ;)

  5. Of course! I've not listened to it properly in years as well!

  6. Dunno if you still listen to Muse, but you might enjoy this : http://rateyourmusic.com/list/Jonzo67/muse___top_50_songs_f1 I was bored!

  7. I saw em puzzle era, sorta :p They played Kids from Kibble if I remember correctly

  8. I have but not at great length. I remember finding their 8 track album (I forget the name) difficult to get into. I'm due another listne though.

  9. Gutted, I missed a secret gig in Glasgow the other week. Was ragin', esp as I KNEW it was on. Best live band in the world.

  10. Do you lik ethe new opeth album then?

  11. So do I hahaha. I had to travel several hours to get there. Was worth it though.

  12. There would be. Trees was full of them, twas awesome :awesome:. Saw Oceansize fans everywhere. I met Mark and Steven there as well (From Size and Kong). Mark vaguely remembered my face from our lesson, and Steven drunkenly gave me a mag of FHM, signed it and told me that 'wanking is good'.

  13. I'm way ahead of ya matee. :) I saw them at 2000 Trees actually, and tried to meet them after but they went somewhere else. Hopefully I'll chat to them at the Glasgow show.

  14. Ach, its okay. I'm getting out of my town soon - off to uni september 10. Taking my laptop though, so I shall remain on here. :p Hows yourself?

  15. T in the Park was fun. 2000 Trees was just awesome, met some great people at it (including boardies!).

  16. You lucky bugger. I'm seeing them at a fest in july, but they arent coming up to scotland at all :/

  17. :D I've not listened to it in about a year. I need to get it again.

But it's as Jamie Lenman put it in Crushed...

"When I heard Worship & Tribute, I thought my dream's come true, but listening to most other bands, it seems they all did too...ALL THIS EIGHTIES INDIE SOUNDS LIKE SHIT TO ME... etc"

  18. I'm massively into Katatonia, but they're not that doom anymore apparently. I've meant to get into Electric Wizard, but I've always found the whole occult aspect a bit freaky - tis one of my phobias (what silly reason eh?).

    Any suggestions?

  19. Most the good stuff was done early in the 21st century, it's kind of overdone now which is why there's so much crap imo.

    Essentials:

BATS - Red in Tooth and Claw (Not so well known but fecking amazing!!!)

At the Drive-In - Relationship of Command

Converge - Jane Doe (Although that's metalcore as much as anything)

    McLusky - Mclusky Do Dallas

    Hopesfall - Satellite Years

    HUM - Downward is Heavenward

Million Dead - A Song to Ruin

Hell is For Heroes - the Neon Handshake

Sucioperro - Random Acts of Intimacy

    Also Cool:

    Beloved - Failure On

    Glassjaw - Worship & Tribute

Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come

In Case of Fire - Align the Planets

Brand New - The Devil & God are Raging Inside of Me (You'll probably have heard this :p)

Meet Me in St Louis - Variations on Swing

Rinoa - An Age Among Them

    Anything by Yourcodenameis:Milo

Kong - Snake Magnet (Oceansize drummer and bassist/quite noise-rock as well apparently)

Pulled Apart by Horses - S/t

Bands that are apparently good but I've not heard:

    Fugazi, Shellac, Gospel, Envy

    Good but overrated:

    Fightstar - Grand Unification

Hundred Reasons - Ideas Above Our Station

    Blakfish - Champions

Enter Shikari - Take to the Skies

    Avoid:

The Blackout, We are the Ocean, Funeral for a Friend, Bring Me the Horizon

    That was long...

  20. sweett, im just getting into mogwai myself, more young team sorta period though. I've never appreciated them as much as godspeed, sigur ros, giaa or explosions.

And yeahh, angsty's the word. I'm massively into emo/post-hardcore and even metalcore music at the minute. Converge, Hopesfall, Beloved, Poison the Well, Circle Takes the Square and plenty of others. Much better than the generic Asking Alexandria/Papa Roach stuff we have to deal with on Kerrang :p

  21. Ah gooood. The last song is IMMENSE. :)

I'm nay too bad. My grandad passed away the other day sadly, but apart from that I'm okay. What about yourself?

  22. Reuben, Isis and now my favourite of them all :( I'm in mourning - I'm going to listen to all of their albums back to back on repeat for a while methinks :/

  23. Obi

I'll try not to! Although, having said that, I am drunk as I post this and only just got home.

  24. Aha, they're not still going anyway :p So you can't feel too guilty.
