Yeah, that was pretty horrific. I don't think I heard anyone did that song justice. I don't think it's a good song for a solo performance to showcase your voice. I wonder why Gwen Stefani had to get Muse's approval to use Starlight. Several seasons ago another contestant on the voice (forgot his name, but he was a model on Usher's team) also murdered that song. Maybe after that performance, they decided to revoke the permission to sing their songs.

That's fairly common, I'd say. Muse's harder numbers are about as heavy as Lower Than Atlantis and other Kerrang! fodder which turns up on Radio 1.
