Hope this is a good idea, and another thread like this one doesn't exist...:indiff:

Here you can post the reasons you joined this board, what you were expecting and will expect from it, the funny, weird, mean, cute, cheesiest things you found in here and reasons why you love it (or hate it) here so much!

Express yourself...:D

I can only think of positive things! :D

The main positive things must be the pornogenic threads (oh god, musegasms all the way, haha), the fantastic people that hang around here with the same main interest as myself and that I discover things about the bandmembers (like previous happings such as the SIT THE FUCK DOWN video etc :D) through videos, pictures and news we board members share together.

When I first joined, I was absolutely terrified of myself, because I had too much Muse energy inside me that needed to get out. My parents and friends were sick of me talking about muse, and so I went in search of someone who wouldn't mind if I ranted about Muse non-stop, and joined in the discussion while they were at it.

So I found you guys, the most lovely welcoming people ever. I know this sounds cheeesey as hell, but I think we are all one big family. Muse connect us all in a way nothing else can. Its amazing to think that so many different people are joined together, and belong in this thing that we call the muse board. Just a thought.

I first joined here years ago when my Aussie friend, who bombed me with hilarious Muse videos (for example the infamous shower scene and SIT THE FUCK DOWN), told me about this place. She warned me about the negative vibe in some places but I ignored that and registered. I've had some rollercoaster times here. But mostly fun times. Other Muse topics is probably my favourite place around here .. no .. actually it's the Finnish board, I've gotten some good friends there, that's my favourite place! <3 Without this forum I'd never found a bunch of new crazy and cool friends. And our dream about a summer gig came true too, you should have seen our reactions that day. I treasure that place the most around here.

I joined when the USE treasure hunt was going on. When I didn't really understand what was going on, I looked at the forum, where there were two threads for discussing theories. And when I was reading all of it, I wanted to throw in what I thought. So I did.

Anyway, since then I've enjoyed it here. I don't feel like I'm a well-regarded member yet, but I can wait. :)

+100000000

Same thing here. All my friends/fam were tired of me talking about them, so here is where I come to not get treated like a deranged mega-fan. plus I gained more confidence in muse fans when I went to a gig by myself and was so warmly welcomed and even made some friends that I still talk to this very day.

And if we are a family, this is one sick, dysfunctional family. And amazing.

I joined and then never posted for some reason, I'm pretty sure it was because some people scared me :stunned: But I have returned and I love it for the most part... 'cept for the negativity and some of the creepiest nicknames I've seen for band members.

I joined because... one, I'm obsessed with Muse, and two, I love forums! I also needed a place to obsess over them as my school friends and family don't want to hear it. :)

So true. I feel like I've been adopted into a family that doesn't give me the tilted-eyebrows-sideways-glance when I mention Muse.

Totally true, that's exactly how I felt! My friends and family are still kind of annoyed but I try not to talk about them as much as I used to, but sometimes it's inevitable

I joined here for the PDT (Tofu, different men, same passion :eyebrows:) although I can't remember how it all started! I can't even recall how I found out about this board! :'(

What are the negative places ecc.? I haven't found one, except a rude reply to a personal opinion...:shifty:

I joined just mainly to answer questions because I knew a lot about Muse's discography from collecting and there were lots of people with questions. With my unusual old username I used to get PMs asking me if I was Matt =/

I first joined in like 2004 though but stopped using that account. I don't think it even has any posts left.

I met one of my best friends on here though as well as some other very good friends so it's all good :D

I just got registed this weekend, though i've followed the thread for some time now. and i wanted to participate but never had the courage to do it ...

this is the first time i'm getting involved in a forum . but it starts to feel good because i can get a bit loose here and talk as much about Muse as i want and can't while i'm with my friends because i'm the only one who has this passion for them (as well as for music). So, this is probably the reason why i joined the forum :) [oh! and also for the PDT :D ]

Shit, I wish I had known Muse in those days so I could join here, but my young age screws it up...:(

you're not the only one ;) fortunatly, at that time i already used to listen to Muse but it was because of my father's influence and only recently i found this forum and decided to share my museness (as someone said earlier).

It hasn't been that great tbh but I still keep coming back. I think a lot of care goes into the site itself, it's updated regularly. I like it when the backgrounds change. There's also some nice people on here but there are other not so good aspects that it's probably best not to mention too much! :chuckle:

However it's the only place really available to express my enjoyment of Muse and even then there are still not enough places. I mean how many times can you say "I just listened to Ruled by Secrecy performed in Seattle with the piano from NSC at the beginning and OMG it wowed me so much", however much you want to say it, like now! :chuckle: So its so easy to end up getting dragged into triviality just because you want to post something and be part of it. I suppose I want to do it in their teritory because it's them I want to express it to, even though it's probably not going anywhere in all honesty. Though I must admit, I listened to their music for a long time and enjoyed it immensely before posting on here, getting involved by the treasure hunt. It all looked a bit too scary before and I didn't even read that much, so something's changed. I think it is because I was here anyway waiting for the revelations of the treasure hunt so I started watching and reading the interviews and in the process "getting to know" the people behind the music a bit more. Before it was more or less just about the music really and then it stopped being just about the music.

But basically it's my need to express enjoyment of the music of Muse and my interest in their music and the guys themselves and things they say that keeps me here.:) I often feel quite euphoric when I post which is probably why my posts come over as ultra positive at times. But yeah it's good to have others to share that with.:), even if it does sometimes end up being slaughtered in the process. Otherwise it would be quite frustrating!

I've obviously spent a lot of time on this forum *points to undertitle*. I've found that the Muse sections are such a great start to joining the forum and Other Muse Topics is such a nice place to go back to when you want a break from whining or anything else. There's so much positivity here. I've made most of my friends here in this section of the board.

The rest of the board is such a nice place as well. I think that banter gets a bad name from other users - it's not really that bad after awhile! I remember this time a year ago, I was afraid to even click on the banter forum. But there are threads in there that are just so funny to read and the YMT is such a lovely place.

I used to be really attached to the love boat - after all, that's where we former CCCers hung out after our original thread got locked and even after the CCC threads got locked. I used to love hearing from my friends on my boat and spreading love across my friends' boats. But since my closest friends are getting sick of the forum and I'm becoming less of a frequent poster, my love for that section is kind of leaving.

Throughout the whining, the excitement, the imaginary Banter vs. Main Muse war, and floccinaucinihilipilification, the forum is a really fun place to be. A lot of times I say, "Oh, I'm going to leave for awhile." I just keep coming back. I feel like I've been here a much longer time than I actually have and I don't know what I would do without it.

The thing i find with the muse board is we have a fantastic sense of humour, open mind we can talk about a vast variety of topics. And also enjoy the entertainment of three guys comonly known as I will see if someone can guess whose who.

Humping Bucko

Bruno Nickleweed

Pastanana Sockadoodledee

The last one dont ask. I also wouldnt be surprised if you go to a muse concert and you know someone there from here or you go with the friends you make here and you go to the muse concert and you your friends meet up with people there and hang out afterwards. We are one big family.

Speaking of which, I have more reasons for joining than PMT. For one thing... I've read the entire first lolz thread before joining (yay no life) and eventually couldn't handle lurking any longer. (yay I'm creepy!) and also, I like almost everyone here. Yeah, there's some beef, but despite the insanity, it really is like a giant happy family. A bit dysfunctional, but wonderful. And also, where else can I find so many others that at least care enough about Muse to follow their every move? People in real life will get sick of my rambling...

I still haven't ventured to Banter though I don't have a reason for doing so... I'm just very happy in Main Muse...
