That Little Animal
The Handler solo is hopeless. It's just dead noise for like a minute. I know it builds, but there are far more creative ways to do that. But it's like a nihilist statement. Or something.
Bumpypotato
The Handler solo is hopeless. It's just dead noise for like a minute. I know it builds, but there are far more creative ways to do that. I miss it when Muse filled two minutes in songs with the kind of bridges we got in Darkshines, B&H, Assassin, etc . Now that you mention it, when was the last time we actually got an interesting bridge?
Hat
US was the latest contender at least.
Butterflyfan
The Handler is perfect, and so is Aftermath! I wouldn't change anything in them. Psycho is a bit too long though, but I like it all the same. Every time I hear it I remember the concerts where I was screaming my happiness to see the band coming in front of me. Butterflyfan
Sorry? What? I love that song. It's perfect for me. It makes me cry (the beginning mainly). Edited November 6, 2016 by Museaddict74

serpentsatellite
That's also likely why Aftermath transitions into the gross disappointment that it does.

altbecky
Indeed. Aftermath is a bitter disappointment. The intro gives me chills. Then bam. Key change to a Broadway/country ballad. It makes me stabby literally every time I hear it.

Citizen Erased 01
I still actually really like Aftermath :O on paper it's a song I should probably LOATHE but it still sends shivers up my spine. When I first heard it I was going through some dark times and it actually made me feel optimistic and hopeful haha.
BlueEyedFloozy
When I first heard Aftermath I turned it off very quickly and wrote the whole album off as a complete WTF NO moment. I'd accidentally put Spotify on shuffle and got Dead Inside followed by...that. NOPE.
Butterflyfan
Sorry That Little Animal, I can't upload one of my videos (I've tried!). At least I made you laugh. --- I haven't heard about Shania Twain for years and I don't know that song at all. But I still love Aftermath.

That Little Animal
Not sure if U2 is better. That shouldn't even be a question. Though I don't consider Aftermath to be particularly U2-like.
