matthijs
Any videos of that? I have to admit, I've not been listening to the recent gigs, but I'm curious to hear if it's really that bad.

Did they think the China rules applied to the whole of Asia or are these really just the setlists they're going with because what the fuck EDIT: Probably the best I've heard the Dead Inside second half sound for a while. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qU5xtTpTpN8 Edited September 27, 2015 by heyjackk

Singapore is a dictatorial country, so they have to apply the Chinese set. Hong Kong is a free city/country/place, so they're gonna go with a decent set. Yay! serpentsatellite
I only watched snippets of Lolla, but there were a lot of way more noticeable issues. Really bad ending to DI in which he doesn't even go for some of the notes he usually does, and a lot of parts where he just hums instead of completing the words, voice actually breaks, etc. Mercy and SS I thought it was most noticeable. Dockertae
Hadn't watched any recent live videos, Dead Inside sounded fine in Singapore to me.
JimmyP117
On the 2016 tour I reckon they'll play the album in full, or at least give it a try for a few shows like they did with BHaR. They could always end with The Globalist and play the album version of Drones as an intermission of sorts with some fancy visuals, with the second part of the gig featuring the hits and (I sincerely hope) one or two rarities. 23 songs would be enough to cater to most die-hards and casuals alike. Though would Matt be able to cope with sets like that on such a busy tour with his voice in its current state?
matthijs
Everyone screams like Matt's voice is gone forever, and I've yet to see good proof...
forevermusic
Yeah, agreed the vocals on Dead Inside's last part at Lolla Berlin weren't great, although they sounded much improved on the version from Bangkok I found on YouTube.
Hat
Everyone screams like Matt's voice is gone forever, and I've yet to see good proof...The reason you haven't seen any proof of that might be because that's not what anyone is saying. serpentsatellite
Can one really prove anything on an infinite timeline? We're just wondering if this tour is worth the massive amounts being charged, especially if we have to travel, really I think it's fair to want someone to put on a quality show for that kind of cash. I'm starting to get a bit paranoid. No way I'm going to sell my tickets, though. Unless he really loses his voice. But then, no one will buy my tickets. So I might as well keep them. trogette
No I have the same problem with people telling others that something is impossible to dislike. But the biggest hyperbole does tend to be applied when there's dislike of a thing, and the inference that no-one should like a thing gets on my tits. I said it here somewhere before - I am against statements like "this is shit", instead please say "I think it's shit". It's all subjective when it comes to any form of art. Unless it's literally shit.

It's all subjective when it comes to any form of art. Unless it's literally shit. I don't really see why it matters, the 'I think' is generally implied. If I went to a restaurant and the food was shite, I'd just say 'this is horrible'. Saying 'I think this tastes shit' just sounds unnecessary, to me at least. The same applies to music. I keep saying it but it just seems a bit buggered of late, but it doesn't mean it's gone forever. Just needs some tlc.
