L.
Thanks for that. It was such an amazing night I can't wait to see Liam's DVD. It was! One of the highlights for me will always be the whole room doing the 'Morgan' chant with Dom drumming the beat to it!
Spectrum IV
Isn't that what I said? Er, I'm not talking about long-term effects, but more immediate effects (say ~30 seconds of difficult notes). Though it will take a lot longer than that to cause any serious damage to your voice. How are you so knowledgeable on this subject? Research, I've been studying the voice for a few years now. Want to become a teacher.

L.
And Matt doing the French in IBTY for the first time and apologising in advance Haha... and him saying 'I'm gonna fuck this up' before the first performance of NSC. So many great memories of this gig.
Dee3Dee
Personally best MK performance was at Casino de Paris... So much energy and one of the only time I think when they had extra riff after the song I'd say Rock In Rio was better. Opening song, with fireworks, played slightly faster (at least I think so) and with an ending riff as well. Btw, there have been extra riffs more times, namely Stade de France and Wembley. Though it will take a lot longer than that to cause any serious damage to your voice. Research, I've been studying the voice for a few years now. Want to become a teacher. Hmm, yes. What I am saying is that while Starlight doesn't really have any notes on the top of his register, they are still straining on his voice. And not just one note in the song, but a big part of it. And then I simply said that while Matt is definitely able to perform this, it will damage his voice. And ofc it wouldn't have been such a big deal if he was just performing it on rare occasions, even if the damage is immediate. Just another off-topic subject when we're at it, how good of a singer are you yourself?

MK was the opening song as well at Casino de Paris but as they say to each their own. Tbh I can't remember any extra riff at SDF, all I can remember is the standard song but with the mic cutting out at the beginning of the 1st verse. Mick4Kizna
MK Ultra was probably my second favorite song on the album after Uprising. But I have yet to hear a live version that I like. I don't know what it is but that song doesn't seem to work live for me. At least not the way they're doing it. Can't put my finger on it. Love the song though. Mick4Kizna
Ya it's just one of my weird tastes that I can't explain myself. I have the same issue with USoE. Great on the album, not so much live. But I don't think I'm completely alone on that one.

Krushd
Until I saw Knights of Cydonia at their Brisbane concert last December, I wasn't really into the song. I have definately seen the (guiding)light! lol! Just amazing!
Riveon
God, we're really going to see Micro Cuts live at last. I can hardly contain my excitement If only I had had more money in 2007... :'(

I have definately seen the (guiding)light! lol! Just amazing! I agree, KoC is much better live than on the album. I still like the album but that song has a lot more energy on the stage. Same with New Born, Bliss, and Butterflies and Hurricanes. Although New Born's been a little lazy lately.

Mick4Kizna
Ok, Matt's actually sleeping during New Born and they play a backing track he recorded while completely pissed. I didn't want to hurt his feelings.

Seaking
I have it narrowed down to three  Stockholm Syndrome + Riffapalooza (LA Staples Center Gig.)  Knights of Cydonia + A man with a harmonica (Glastonbury 2010)  Citizen Erased + Take a bow outro (Possibly Glastonbury 2004)

That's why I fell in love with Muse, the best live sound of any three-piece band. No bells and whistles, just solid, unmatched energy, creativity and talent. Screw overproduced stadium shows. Tom//P
My favourite version of Muscle Museum: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTK60tE3hhs 3 mins in, it's unbelievable. It seems a more sincere performance than most MM performances I've seen. Also you can hear the final notes far better than on the Astoria performance Edited June 21, 2011 by Tom//P
