His voice sounds a lot less cheesy, the guitar solo sounds a lot less straight-forward and cheesy, and there aren't any annoying multi-layered backing tracks. Maybe he's changed the tracks, or just turned up the live drums in the mix or something. That snare was just so... ugh. I am totally fangirling. And I'm glad I did; they were both actually far more enjoyable than I find the studio versions. I would have been happy to see either of those in person.
