That Little Animal
I will never understand posts like this. Oh. Well in that case... Chris should do whatever the outcome of this poll is, since it's what the fans want.
Museic Syndrome
Oh. Well in that case... Chris should do whatever the outcome of this poll is, since it's what the fans want. No but it's not like we are actually deciding on the band's future whenever we discuss about anything. It is just discussion. Cause otherwise any discussion about anything they do is pointless, as it has no effect on what the band has done or will do.

Chris should do whatever he wants to do, because people tend to be the best at what they do when they enjoy doing it. Does that help?

LyraSilvertongue
Well now, that's just silly. Couldn't agree more. No, no, no.
RaulManuel
Not a solo album. But he can sing more songs, of course! But a Muse album without Matt would be like England without rain... At first I didn't like Save me or Liquid state but as time went by I began to like it quite a lot. But if I had to choose I'd choose Matt voice of course. Dominic.
If I'm honest I wasn't really keen on Chris' vocals, reminded me too much of that Pendulum guy and I find them annoying. As for writing his own songs though, Liquid State is b33f, just needs to be longer
Spittle
I don't see a reason to, right now; plenty of bands have multiple singers. It'll mean Matt can fingerwank more.

Matt can take a toilet break during whole of Liquid State and a big part of Save Me for all the lack of guitar in the two songs.

serpentsatellite
If the options were "solo album, or singing more on Muse records" I would vote for solo. I'm sorry, but his songs really didn't do anything for me. He's got a good voice, but there was just nothing in those songs for me.
muse2503
I'm not sure about if he should make a solo album but I really like 'Save Me' and his vocals are so good. It doesn't feel like I'm listening to Muse though
thestarlight
i like chris and all and hes an awesome musician but dont think he has a strong enough voice for solo album. while i dont love his two songs, it seems i like them more than most people. nice change of pace, plus if he starts working solo it might slow muse down.... cant have that
onemoreemptychair
I clicked yes but what I really meant was no Collaboration would be much better. I feel like the two Chris songs don't sound at all like "Muse", more like "Chris pasted into the middle of a Muse record". If the entire band wrote songs together, and had Chris do vocals I think it'd be awesome. But I get the feeling these songs were written exclusively by Chris, while Matt (possibly Dom too?) did not-a-lot ... they almost feel like B-Sides. Decent B-sides, but B-sides nonetheless. New Born Lee
Yes. Bear in mind it probably won't sound much like Muse since he wouldn't be made to make sacrifices for the sake of flow on the album, or to please his bandmates. It might end up suited to his own style, and I like the ideas he's brought to T2L even though they're not fully formed. I would be interested. stardust123
Maybe he should just join five finger death punch.
Hat
I thought you considered both the 2nd law Chris tracks to be mediocre? I do, but so are overdue and sober.
Cindykt-OvertureThief
Nope. I'm pretty sure Matt would lose it if he did.
Tom Wells
Yeah, it's not like he'll leave Muse because he's got a little side-project... It wouldn't really make a difference, apart from the fact that we get to hear new songs.
Gwyn
Yes, if it means him getting it out of his system. I'd love to see two more of Matt's songs on The 2nd Law instead of Save Me and Liquid State.
sade
I do, but so are overdue and sober. Well, no one wants a new Sober or Overdue on any future album, so I'm not quite sure what your point is.
Meep
I'd definitely buy it. Save Me is the sort I thing I listen to a lot.

Which Matt so kindly proves by writing shit like Sober and Overdue and still managing to write epics like Sunburn and Showbiz.
