absolutely impeccable. i think this may challenge black carbonita and m1d1 as my favourite mansion :ninja:

it also looks muuuuuuch better without a scratchplate i think. i'm not a big fan of the one on mine.

nice, you've been gigging? Didn't realise you were currently in a band - send us a link!

Yeah! Been in the same one for a few years now and RyanBMuff off of the board is in it too as of probs just over a year!

Do you facebook? Think there's a player on there but regardless:

Cool. Are you still using that Laney combo through a 4x12?

Also, is that bluesbreaker being used as a boost or a standalone overdrive?

Had to sell the 4x12 but to be honest at the moment I'm using whatever the venue/promoter supplies

Live I generally set up with a cleanish tone on the neck pickup, which results in the bridge being dirty and the bluesbreaker is a brilliant extra gain stage. It doesn't do much by itself (even with gain on 10) but it layers amazingly. Basically a dirty boost with a tiny bit of tone-shaping.

For recording I just lower the amp gain and it breaks things up nicely.

Picked up my Acoustic 220 bass head today, complete with missing slider knobs and old house scent. Freaking loud. Still fiddling with the very versatile EQ to hone in on my tone, pretty good replacement for $200.

Barely a 'mystery', they are the same brand, that's why. ;) The JPJ reference was a give away. That's an Acoustic 450, for bass or guitar. A lot of people will mention it's a 360 but that's only a preamp and not similar in appearance. They also have an on board distortion which can do oscillations and a few other tricks, pretty nice fuzz from the clips I've heard.

Such an old school sounding amp and it rattles the house down. I'm a little scared, I only bought it to tide me over while my Ampeg is being repaired.

also, i really need to get a new tuner. this one is an overpriced piece of garbage and doesn't track well at all. thinking of getting a korg pitch black (again)

Cables all over the floor - the sign of a true musician!

I second the Polytune. You could even get the mini version if you need to cram it in there somewhere. ;)

Get the polytune...

Forgot about that one. My main problem with my current one is that it doesn't pick up all the different strings (there are as many as seven on my guitars!) that well.

Which one do you have?

Also, that last sentence combined with the winking smiley made me slightly uncomfortable. :pope:
