Hobo
I'm going to have to go with Hobo here Why not, everyone else has. No! I'm literally talking about the guitar solo bits in both songs, the distortion sounds similar If it's any consolation messiah, I believe you. OnTheOtherSide
It's almost my favourite Muse song ever. After Darkshines and maybe Showbiz. I'm bit a B-side fan.

DownAndOut
I think Recess is excellent - definitely my favourite track of the Hullabaloo B-sides. P.S. I found this thread by searching. But why is it not in "Songs and Releases"?

eternallymused
Is there anyone out there who can play Recess on the guitar and get it to sound anything similar to the effects in the song? Because that would be awesome:D

In Ryanbows
I love Recess, but it's dangerously underrated. Their most underrated, me thinks. But it's SO FREAKING GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
blinkin fightuse
its so late for me. i can't remember how recess sounds. im stuck listening to Arcade Fire (which is certainly not a bad thing). i'll check what recess sounds like when i wake up to another cold, rainy day in Vancouver. no-wonder they call it British Columbia. Robertw
Is there anyone out there who can play Recess on the guitar and get it to sound anything similar to the effects in the song? Because that would be awesome:D I can play it and I used to play that strange riff bit by using an octave pedal and putting it an octave up on the first note and keeping it there. It sounded pretty similar. Then on the chords I used a wah and slowly rocked it backwards and forwards.

hyper_chondriac_muser
This song is too good for words. I fucking love it! I have Shrinking Universe and Recess on repeat on Hulla, because they're both insanely lol. In fact, that whole b-sides collection was fantastic. And ending on the best song in the world, too (HCM) .
