dead-duck
I think it sounds like a good idea Maybe they could do something special next year for the 10th anniversary of Showbiz...?
Juuso
O rly? How do you know? Well, Chris for one, lives there.
Fayth-in-Flyght
Truee... doesn't mean the other two are on speaking terms with the town though Teignmouth is great for families, not so great for aspiring mad scientist/conspiracy factualist/culture vultures trust me, I went to see it
BobjimTheAwesome
I'd fly to America to see that. Would be awesome:D

I can't remember what interview it was though Maybe the irish one they did while in portugal? this post would be much better with real details lol
Mad_Clown
I think muse should concentrate on the new album, then worry about playing gigs again.
Muttley
It doesn't matter anyway because if they do a homecoming concert a lot of people from outside the area will go there as well causing the locals to miss out on a ticket. I nearly went to see Editors in Birmingham last year but yet again I couldn't get leave Homecoming gigs are popular with everyone because fans expect the band to play a longer set or that they will include something special or because the atmosphere might be really good. Northern Star
my room? Dont there would be a better place. Had a dream last night they were performing in a field on a giant platform in the air and everyone was lying down, and i fell asleep and missed the whole thing! I guess its pretty bad to fall asleep in your dreams!
Northern Star
But anyway definitely for the smaller gigs, they should come and play at havana in my hometown. Its a good venue, anyone ever seen the video for pretty green eyes (dont admit to it) but that was filmed there.

Well that can be solved simply, just do what fatboy slim is doing on brighton beach and only let people with a postcode from around the area buy tickets. Then take up the glastonbury reg system to stop touts. SORTED.
Muttley
So in Muse's case you're only allowed when you're wearing wellies and holding a pitchfork?

Max
Homecoming gigs are popular with everyone because fans expect the band to play a longer set or that they will include something special or because the atmosphere might be really good. I think it's usually the latter in most cases.
Muttley
Well, it can be all three of course
Caff
It doesn't need to be a "homecoming" to have a good atmosphere. Small venues tour, they know they want to!
hipbones
Thats a pretty cool idea. Id want to go though...so the post code idea would work for me lol
Caff
The way to make sure mostly locals go is do what Franz Ferdinand did with their small venues tour ie. you had to go in person to the venue and queue up. Sime fuckers still managed to get tickets to put on eBay though

Peroxide Pixie
I'd love to see them locally in Bristol at a smaller venue, would make a change to all the travelling plus I like intimate gigs.

Hopix
I don't care if they play here next, but this venue must be a stop on their next US tour: the Gorge at George, Washington. No kidding----tiny town, all there is there is this: Is it just me or do the people near the stage on the first pic look unusually small?
Hopix
I think it sounds like a good idea Maybe they could do something special next year for the 10th anniversary of Showbiz...? Yes. A gig in their home town playing the whole album.
