Uccellino
So, i was at the Livelounge recording.... We were allowed to go into the interview before they performed, and Matt put us on the guestlist for the Camden show (still can't believe this happened). Felt a bit mean as we only had to stroll up to the door at 7pm and we could get to the barrier. Anyway. Performance was an insane experience. Before we entered the studio we all had to put on fancy dress gear (under Muse's instruction) and there were inflatable guitars and confetti everywhere! Then we got to take pictures afterwards. Pretty amazing Friday! Group winner pic and Meet and Greet pic under cut Aw, your day sounded amazing! The guys were so good to you too, worth all the stress of the competition 😊 Nice photos too. AlecSp
Am I the only one mystified by the rank harmony on the first line of KoC (23:54-24:00)? Laughably wrong - and killed by the second line. Not sure if it was Chris, or auto-tune - either way, quite excruciating. And Livs - what a day! Jobby
Goddamn, they were on fire. That SMBH might be the best yet. Any excuse to post: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1upkp14drH0 It's gotten a bit better instrumentally but nothing shall ever beat Matt doing the screams. Plus, I feel like the Kaoss solo has been boring and lazy for a few years now, even Matt looks bored during it half the time.

CitizenAroused
I don't know... This whole performance lacked energy... Like they just got out of bed.
LewisF
I don't know... This whole performance lacked energy... Like they just got out of bed. Well they can't really jump around and move about a terrible amount because it's such a confined space.

Energetic performance doesn't have to mean jumping and moving around. They just lacked enthusiasm and emotion in the performance.

Clunge
Just watched this. Dead Inside was pretty good but the rest felt vvv flat . Knights was atrocious.
Jobby
Knights was atrocious. Wishful thinking but maybe they'll start to play it less now. or drop it completely
Clunge
I'd happily take it every time. I just wish they'd A. drop MWAH, and B. move it around in the set / rotate closers. They've played Reapers, Stockholm Syndrome, New Born, Bliss, etc, on the Drones tour already, they could rotate any of them.
Jobby
I actually don't mind it that much, compared to something like Uprising or TIRO, so maybe saying I want it dropped completely was a bit of an exaggeration. I can't stand it still being used almost exclusively as a closer after all these years though. I'm starting to think they've played MWAH so much that they believe it's actually part of the original song.

tomohara
Agree that there should be more rotation for the closer, but if they are going to pick as bad a closer as Starlight like on the T2L stadium tour then I would rather they just stick with KoC, as predictable as that is. forevermusic
All Muse sets need more Stockholm given they drop it disappointingly frequently. Knights... can take or leave but the riffs make for such a great moshpit experience.
Destroya
Knights sans harmonica?! Please let this continue to be a thing. Yay for radio edits!
MartianSpaghettiRider
Reapers may do as an honorable and explosive closer. But Survival wouldn't be bad, too, if Matt learns to play it less sloppily and not to mess around too much with guitar noises during the last minute of the track. Firebird
Watched this with volume up and treble up a bit.... It sounded pretty good. I think they were let down by something in the production. Matt and Dom certainly looked like they were giving it their all. Chris was his usual calm self.
