Mattestro
I predict that: Aftermath The Globalist The Handler Defector Reapers Mercy Psycho Drones Dead Inside Revolt Will probably be my order of preference from these descriptions Edit: And I'd be pretty happy with that, considering I really like Dead Inside anyway. Drones (the song) could really go either way for me though tbh Edited May 19, 2015 by mattestro.

Exogenesisman
Reapers always sounded a lot more Tom Morello than AC/DC to me, even most of the solo. Totally agree with this, I understand the ACDC comparisons for Reapers Chorus but the second I heard the guitar solo I instantly thought of Tom Morello. Jasonli18t
i'll just say that if reapers isn't in my top 3 for the album, i'm pretty damn happy with the album.
jonodillieono
Agree, reminds me a bit of some live performances morello has done with springsteen of the ghost of tom joad. Matt wishes he could be this good. I've never seen a solo as impressive as that since

Aeterna
I keep seeing people say 'This is turning out to be like BHaR' or 'This is sounding a lot like The Resistance' or 'Can anyone else hear The 2nd Law, or is it just me?' If you think about it too much, it can sound like a reconstruction of any album. This is Drones and people will say the next album follows the same structure and sounds just like it. I'm trying to look at it like it has its own identity, with a couple of sequel songs. Comparing it will just make the album seem like a copy when it isn't. GrandOmegaBoss
I have some hopes for Aftermath, like that it may sound like Blackout or something, but really my expectations aren't too high, I'm anticipating some weird version of explorers. (See what I did there? Hopes... Expectations... I'm so funny! Also lonely...)

Mattestro
Going slightly off topic, I gotta say that Psycho is easily one of the funnest live songs Muse have done which I've seen.

BigGeorge
what on earth warranted that? Yeah, NME might be garbage but that's a perfectly reasonable headline.
kc2rxo
I'm giggling at the "This is the sound of us losing our minds" Who, us listening to it or the band in the studio at some point (probably during T2L)?
Jobby
Yeah, NME might be garbage but that's a perfectly reasonable headline. Yeah, this. NME is utter wank most of the time but there's nothing wrong with that headline If you're referring to the whole 'dark forces' thing, that came from the band themselves.
