naomithegreat
"I won't let you smell my rib" instead of "I won't let you smother it" oh good lord. that's epic.
notyounaanbread
I only found out today that the lyrics 'cast your ideals onto me' from Shrinking Universe aren't 'cast your eye tears onto me' as I thought for a few years now. I have to say I much prefer the real ones!
notyounaanbread
In Escape, "bully from a distance" always sounded like "burning from a distance". I though that I well I though it was 'you burn me for my distance' but still... kind of the same.
Larzipan
In Escape, "bully from a distance" always sounded like "burning from a distance". It's not burning from a distance?! Craaaap.
Gareeh
this isn't really misheard right but i'll say it. when matt says: and you wanted more than i was worth obviously he is singing to a girl he is no longer in love with and i think he says and you wanted more-aaa-whore than i was worth. Gretterati
WTF, it isn't? Apparently not, I still hear it my way though. In TaB I still struggle to hear 'contrary to what we want', it sounds like some mush involving the words 'country' and 'do what we want'. I know he's saying three syllables but it sounds more like 'count-rr-ry' than 'contrary', know what I mean?

escapist
WTF, it isn't? I KNOW, RIGHT!! It baffled me for a very long time. And it's one of my favorite songs. (obviously? lol) But 'Bully" technically makes more sense.
Gretterati
In Knights of Cydonia: ''Narwhals gonna take me alive'' I love how Matt sings about narwhals http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/484667
xbroken_ideals
I could never tell if Matt sang "Visions of greed you wallow" or "Rhythms of greed you wallow" in Showbiz. I still don't know- The lyrics booklet says "visions" though. I think I like "visions" better.

jjjoie
Years ago, I thought in New Born the chorus was: Destroy the spiders instead of Destroy the spineless. And I kinda liked it that way
Falling.Down.
My sister is convinced that they sing "I'm hungry for some armrests" in Unnatural Selection.
Deluded Citizen
I actually :LOL:d so much at some of these...narwhals, smell my rib, armrests etc. I mentioned it before I think, but 'Clay shoes melting in the dead of night' anyone?
canadianmuser
In Fury, I thought he said: And we'll pray that there's no God, to punish us and make us blush I like the actual lyrics much better! ETA: Found another, in Exo-Politics I thought the lyrics were "When the sutures fill the skies, will our leaders tell us why"
drawakangaroo
For a while, I thought the first part of the chorus of Micro Cuts was "I'm singing, I'm siiiingiiing!"
xxATLowxx
For a while, I thought the first part of the chorus of Micro Cuts was "I'm singing, I'm siiiingiiing!" more liek whailing but that does sound like it could fit!
escapist
I always thought "Soulless is everywhere" was "Sinus is everywhere!" Apparently Matt's allergies were acting up.
FearAndPanic
I always thought "Soulless is everywhere" was "Sinus is everywhere!" Apparently Matt's allergies were acting up. The first one sounds too much like "sunglasses everywhere"
abborrenOfCydonia
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/484667 ''Narwhals, narwhals swimming in the ocean, causing a commotion 'cause they are so awesome'' Matt probably got inspiration from this awesome video. And then he started singing about Narwhals
museyness
I thought "Rose tinted view" was "Roast hinted view" for the longest time, so I convinced my mum that having pot roast for dinner one day would be awesome And it isn't "burning from a distance" in Escape!? Bliss :)
In Sing for Absolution I thought that "falling from your grace" was "falling from your brains"
TrebleRose689
My 4-year-old niece (who I am slowly converting into a mini-Muser) thought that in KoC Matt was saying "When frogs can be kids" So cute.
hoosier_muser
Sing For Absolution: "Our wounds are made of rancid pie" instead of "Our wrongs remain unrectified" Hoodoo: "Can't obey, how come you can't obey" and/or "Come to bed, why don't you come to bed" instead of "Come to be, how did it come to be" Hoodoo (again): "I will take the crow for you" instead of "I will take the blow for you" The Groove: "To be the public phone" instead of "To win the public vote"
