Miaki
Am I the only one who thinks that the New Born Piano Intro is not magic anymore when played by Morgan and not by Matthew ? If a lot have the same opinion, let’s do a petition.

superimposition
NO PETITIONS. They never reach their goal. I love the NB intro played by Bells, but I can live without it.
MOTPRules
O Lord, you who are the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort; look with compassion, we pray, upon all gathered here now, that our minds and hearts shall be at your command. Grant that this service of comfort, which we now hold in your name, may bring to all a sense of heavenly nearness and great trust in you. And may the peace of Christ, even the peace that passes all understanding, abide with us and rest upon all these dear ones. We pray through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. The Dommeh would have me to thank all of you for the beautiful flowers, food, the warm handshakes, sympathetic statements and German porn of the last few days. Anyway, maybe we can try? NB intro is a legend. I think we have to protest. If we don't, soon, Morgan will play the Plug in Baby intro.

Mozza
Matt needs to play the piano intro again. No excuse for him not doing it. Like that one time they played Sunburn with Morgan playing the piano, it wasn't right, Muse realised it and never did it like that again

hipbones
I suggest another beermat uprising. That's how we got MK played.

Clunge
The transition from piano to guitar is the best part of every Muse gig. I'd say Muse have reached an all-time low as a live band.
Mozza
Uprising live on the arena tours was so poor compared to the versions they've done in Teignmouth (riff outro) and on TV shows (Matt doing some guitar stuff for the synthy intro)
Mechagodzilla
I thought Morgan only played it because they were up on those high pillars and the piano would just be taking up space which Matt needs during the rest of the song. I'm kinda hoping that when their not using those pillars on the tour anymore, Matt goes back to playing it again.

Niall
The transition from piano to guitar is the best part of every Muse gig. I'd say Muse have reached an all-time low as a live band. I agree with all of the above. The suspense before the riff was awesome. And with the all time low comment, definitely. Its all rehearsed and choreographed like a pop concert. Except if you want that done really well go to a pop concert. I saw Miley Cyrus a few days ago and that was pretty epic in terms of set design and organisation, and the rehearsal times for it must have been immense. Next to that Muse's show looked kinda amateur and unorganised, beyond the pretty displays. The reason Muse are good live is there music and energy as a three piece band pulling of these massive sounding songs. Leave the lighting and the gimmicks to the pop acts please. Clunge
Nail head hit. Massive flashy shows just don't suit Muse at all... I watched the Teignmouth footage yesterday, so awesome compared with the O2 shows .

I noticed on the first night at the O2 how fake (?) and overly rehearsed everything seemed. On the second night it seemed a lot more like a gig, I don't know if it was the dropping of Unintended (which basically hinged around everyone getting out their lighters) and Feeling Good (with its big visuals of a bee) and replacing them with Cave and MK Ultra which were just essentially one colour scheme of lights and images of the band on the screens (not to mention far more high-tempo), those changes just made it seem more like a gig. Mozza
I never even knew Morgan played the intro now ! It's because the band had this crazy idea that meant playing a piano would involve wheeling it out on stage so they decided to play New Born on top of a pillar which lowered down during the New Born intro so Matt would be on the ground once the riff kicks in. Nowhere near as impressive as the build up of feedback as Matt switches between piano and guitar
