Davinq
I'm already back in Seattle. Might be applying for a study abroad programme in at Victoria in Wellington for this July or next though!
_Ed_
Oh, gutted your NZ trip is over. Hope you had an awesome time! The study abroad thing sounds really cool.
Davinq
It was a great holiday, I'm just happy to have gone at all; we used to be able to pay for the airfare with mileage but not anymore.
Super Sammy!
Going from temperatures in the late-20s at the Mount to barely 0º here in England really is a shock to the system
_Ed_
Whoa, yeah, I can imagine!
Davinq
Yeah coming back to Seattle was a huge shock. Never bundle up at this time of year but I'm in five layers right now. To be fair, it is below zero here currently.
JoBear
Just going from late 20s in Coromandel to mid 10s in rainy Wellington is bad enough. Snoew forecast for my return to London too.
Super Sammy!
Having travelled backwards and forwards from the UK Jo, do you have any kind of advice for jetlag? Sleeping from 7pm to 5am two nights in a row really doesn't bode well when those will be the kind of hours I'll be working next week
JoBear
You'll be fine in a week! Not much you can do really...not looking forward to it next week myself as I go straight back to work less than 24 hours after I get back. My best jetlag preventer was getting drunk in the business class lounge on the A380 then passing out in bed as soon as I got in but bit late to try that one. JoBear
Ah jetlag my friend...up at 3am unsure if I am hungry or my tummy just hurts. Also, so not fun to miss my connection in Dubai even if I got a hotel for 5 hours. I reckon if I could always fly long haul business class I wouldn't hate it as much. _Ed_
Doesn't sound fun at all! Poor you. Why do so many of us still like our prime minister? "If I had a dollar for every rumour, well, then I'd be richer than, arguably, I am. *smug grin*" Seriously.
Davinq
My cousin certainly doesn't. He showed me this over Christmas. There haven't really been any in a while but it's a good laugh.
JoBear
I try not to think of John Key because it just makes me angry. I hope I can ignore him until he goes away.
JoBear
Also - The Te Papa moa I regret not being able to fit in my suitcase. Likewise for a tuatara.
_Ed_
I am saddened. Haha, this is classic. http://web.orange.co.uk/article/quirkies/Couple_quit_jobs_over_saucy_emails I love that they have a stock photo for stories about saucy emails. Also, "I love making love to you it's ace"? Really? 'Ace'?

_Ed_
Have you guys seen the music video for Supremacy? Fucking hell. I really love the song, but this is one of the worst things they've ever done. And not only is it terrible, it's totally wrong for the song. Goths going surfing on a hot, sunny day? NO. When I listen to Supremacy, I think night-time, thunder and lightning, James Bond on a high-speed car chase along a dimly-lit, deserted country road. I do not think of goths having some fun in the sun. What have you done, Muse?!
JoBear
I think someone made a Skyfall themed video. Muse just have such a terrible track record of making music videos, let's be fair to them.
Tacticalkat
Hey Rich, how is your flat going? Are you going to catch up with Amanda and David while they are here?
_Ed_
Hey! Flat's great - still loving the ferry commute. Might not be so fun on a cold, wet, windy winter morning... Yeah, I'd love to see them. No plans at the moment, though. How's things with you? Also, how does this work?

Yeah, I'd love to see them. No plans at the moment, though. How's things with you? Also, how does this work? Ah Glad it's going well. I imagine you will have to invest in some good weather proof things for the winter. I am hoping to see them while they are here, everyone is pretty busy though. It's my hen party tomorrow, I am excited but a little nervous! I have seen that phone thing before. I don't get it, unless they are writing it from an iPad or tablet or something? Tacticalkat
Ah, just saw this now, so hope you have/had an awesome night. Thanks! It was awesome, but I am glad it's done now, I am safe from the evil plotting minds of my bridesmaids, aha. I hope everybody is filling out their census forms! I tried online and it was overloaded, gave up and did it by hand. Pretty sure it's completely illegible.
