haze015
where did you get all that info? Sound On Sound interview I think, something like that anyway. If I was to play SS at a gig, I'd just set my phaser really slow and do that, as it's really subtle, it doesn't take over at all, works really well. james90
Sorry for bumping another old thread, but..... I have quite a few live videos of SS, and in every one of them Matt plays some chords different from the ones in the tab book. (some sort of power chord?)..The different chords are in the first part of the verse. He plays these chords until the "and she'll scream and she'll shout" etc part. I just play it with regular power chords, but I was wondering if anyone knows the exact chords. (I doubt it though)

musecasters
I'm not very famililar with this stuff though, I'm completely self taught I'll try to get a video clip of him playing those chords not chords mate, a chord is three or more notes, power chords are the note, the 5th & the octave, these are just octaves (one note, with the same note an octave lower or higher) i've not tried this but it looks close Verse E|------------------------------------------------------------------ B|------------------------------------------------------------------ G|--7-7-7-7-5-5-5-5-4-4-4-4-3-3-3-3-7-7-7-7-6-6-6-6-5-5-5-5-7-7-7-7- D|--x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x- A|--5-5-5-5-3-3-3-3-2-2-2-2-1-1-1-1-5-5-5-5-4-4-4-4-3-3-3-3-5-5-5-5- D|------------------------------------------------------------------ E|--------------------------------------------------------------- B|--------------------------------------------------------------- G|--15-15-15-15-14-14-14-14-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-- D|--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--- A|--13-13-13-13-12-12-12-12-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-- D|--------------------------------------------------------------- E|--------------------------- B|--------------------------- G|--12-12-12-12-14-14-14-14-- D|--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--- A|--10-10-10-10-12-12-12-12-- D|--------------------------- Bit before Chorus E|--------- B|--------- G|--------- D|--5-4-3-- A|--5-4-3-- D|--5-4-3? dwydav
yeah thats pretty right but he adds some stuff on the B string when he does th higher part.. he adds some thing to harmonize with the vocal line I think.. makes it sounds nicer.. I can't be arsed to write it out though..

Splinter
So can anyone please give me the entire correct tab? I've looked and found like 5 good tabs, but none of them seem 100% correct. kuz
actually, most of that is wrong why not just stick to the official sheet music? if you read the FAQ at the top of the page of this forum, you'd notice they give you a link to somewhere on microcuts.net or summat where you can download scans of the official guitar tab part to stockholm syndrome, among others. why don't you try that? sam_jk
Think the tab book verse sounds best, more harmonic, even though matt plays it as straight octaves live...
Spc.Dmnt
Have Matt ever played this on Keyboard/piano live or any of you guys ? I'd like to play the piano part but it's sth like impossible with two hands doing the chords and the left hand part. I think i can play it if someone can tell me what to do If you wanna see how i play, check http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=7Umudo7
RaceAgnstMyself
does anybody have the tab for the solo towards the end? go to this site http://www.microcuts.net/uk/tabs it has all the official guitar tabs. Clunge
Remember this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3l_hquPlDw Matt has a backing track for the intro riff harmonics. Well from this video from Rock In Rio last night, seems he's still doing or has started again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnV7AbCtWng Pish. Esparoba1
A new solo was used for Supermassive Black Hole. A slightly different bass riff was used for Starlight, for the breakout before the last verse. Nishe was played for the first time since 2000 and Matthew Bellamy let the crowd sing the verse before the first chorus from Time Is Running Out. The balloons were released at the end of Plug In Baby. Download audio from gig Nishe was really nice and I like the new solo of SMBH no more kaoss pad and the jazzy intro of starlight is really cool
Clunge
The Kaoss pad broke . That's why he had to improv a solo.

This resulted in an extended break between the piano intro and the start of the guitar part. Both of the Twitter updates were posted using TwitterBerry on BlackBerry. Esparoba1
The Kaoss pad broke . That's why he had to improv a solo. do you mean the X/Y pad in his guitar or the actual kaoss pad on his pedalboard
Clunge
X/Y pad I spose. It just did nothing when he poked it, listen to the bootleg - there is 2/3 seconds of gap at the start of the solo.
