funkadelic
I love Matt's vocals in the acoustic version so much. One of my issues with recent albums has been his tendency to go for heroic sounding vocals and a lack of sincerity in his voice. This takes me back to the menacing tone of old Muse, and it's genuinely soothed my soul. haha
jonisdead
Hm, I definitely hear “cod-ah” as opposed to “-er”. We’ll have to see when we get the lyrics books. He's also British

I really wish Algorithm had old Muse vocals too. instead of the Supremacy/Phantom of the Opera sound
jonisdead
Exactly. I really wish Algorithm had old Muse vocals too. instead of the Supremacy/Phantom of the Opera sound I actually think this vocal melody is one of his best in the past 10 years, it's not as forcefully delivered as Supremacy imo

Tesseract
The acoustic one tho omfgggg Everything is great about that one but especially his vocals. I think that's the closest Matt has come to writing Ruled by Secrecy 2.

solemndrummer
The beat in the bridge kind of ruins the song, which is a shame really because apart from that, this is bijou.. But that's Muse nowadays, always putting some catchy rythms everywhere instead of creating intense and deep atmosphere ! For that reason, the acoustic version is better imho even if the synth sound in the beginning of the regular version does fit really well .. Frustration here ! Devnor
When I first heard the wubs, I thought my speakers had just blown. Glad you guys are getting this one. I'm 50/50 on the whole album but what's good is fantastic.
Tesseract
I can't wait to hear those wubs in a proper sound system with the bass cranked.
Jobby
Those strings in the 2nd verse Reminds me of when the strings come in towards the end of Daydreaming by Radiohead. Those sudden swells in a relatively quiet mix. Chillssss.
Tesseract
Anyone know what note Matt hits when he sings the "a star" part in the acoustic version? It sounds like it could be one of his lowest notes to my untrained ear. It sounds incredible.
Bohemian-Cygnus-Running-Out
I love the beat in the bridge. The first time I heard it I was thinking (ya know I haven’t heard quite enough from Dom this whole record. Then he came in with that beat and it really gets the track going for me! Also, I never thought I’d hear wubs used to such good effect again. Figured Madness had to be a fluke.
JessicaSarahS
This song reminds me of Bette Midler’s The Rose for some reason. Not a bad thing! But I can’t get the mashup out of my head.

LewisF
Don’t know about it being better than RBS, but it’s certainly a fantastic song and closer, 3rd best closer imo behind Megalomania and RBS (those two are interchangeable as no. 1 & 2 on my list)
