hyper_chondriac_muser
Micro Cuts sums up everything I love about Muse's heavy stuff. It's so OTT, ridiculous and plain stupid - his vocals just soar like an opera, and yet they have this crushing riffage underneath THIS! Micro Cuts is pure awesomeness wrapped in operatic, riff-roaring heaviness . It's one of my fave ever Muse songs... just absolutely effing immense . Spectrum IV
A song has to be heavy to be really good? Not at all... but heavy songs are Muse's strongest point IMO.
Travis III
A song has to be heavy to be really good? That seems to be the mindset of this board. Personally, I think a lot of their softer/pop songs don't get enough love. But maybe that's because Blackout was my first Muse song.
bard4209
Out of that list, I went for Stockholm. Also, Unnatural selection doesn't get enough love. It's one of my favorites on The Resistance.

Enemy
Poor Unnatural Selection Unfortunately, as great as US is, it's not that heavy - at least not studio-wise. My vote goes straight to SS.
WutDaFucksy
Well it would be Dead Star but it's not on the poll so Hysteriaaa
Jetro
I voted Hysteria, but doesn't almost all Muse songs have bits of heavy in them? Like... Starlight in the chorus, and Butterflies & Hurricanes... no? I don't have any idea on genres, and there are so many. :S
lil'blulalo
I first agreed for Dead Star but finaly I think that SS is more heavy there's no time to rest in this song ... Or ... Well I don't know I just don't care I quite agree with Jetro, there are (even very tiny) bits of heavyness in almost all Muse song (even in FG and GL:LOL:) (this is the most useless post of the year, can I have an award please ?) Iceman
Definetely Stockholm Syndrome. But Assassin comes as a close second.
Gohenko
Small Print people? Anyone? No? Well, still at least live it's their best heavy song in my opinion!
Doris Ammann
Assassin - Can I choose a live-version? KROQ from, I think 2007, about 7:12, grand omega bosses edit. Everytime when I listen to it, it blows me complete away!!!
oceanlite06
Definitely Deadstar, New Born, Stockholm Syndrome, and Assassin.

drawakangaroo
Hysteria. The only "heavy" song that I've never gotten tired of. Like I have said before, their heavier stuff is totally overrated.
Dee3Dee
Hysteria. The only "heavy" song that I've never gotten tired of. Like I have said before, their heavier stuff is totally overrated. Hysteria is no competition at all for most of their other heavy stuff. Stockholm Syndrome, Assassin, The Small Print etc. > Hysteria.
maxswe
Hmmm... The best live performance of a heavy song for me must be the small print. It's insane, but overall SS no doubt. Dead star close second
drawakangaroo
Hysteria is no competition at all for most of their other heavy stuff. Stockholm Syndrome, Assassin, The Small Print etc. > Hysteria. Assassin is pretty good, but I get tired of it easily. TSP is pretty average (but by no means bad). Stockholm Syndrome is great if you're in the mood for it, and it's great live (or so I've gathered from the live videos I've seen of it). Hysteria is the only one that I consistently love. SS is great, though, but in small doses. Otherwise it gets boring.
