  1. Apparently, Dom said that it 'sounds more like Psycho than Dead Inside'. That's the only thing that's been said about it so far, assuming he was definitely talking about the song and not the album in general.
  2. If I were to guess: Dead Inside - 4:22 Drill Sergeant - 0:35 Psycho - 5:16 Mercy - 4:30 The Handler - 5:20 Reapers - 5:40 JFK - 1:40 Defector - 4:50 Revolt - 5:10 Aftermath - 4:40 The Globalist - 9:20 Drones - 3:50 Yes, I'm so bored that I actually just predicted track lengths. Also, I have two big essays to do and I'm trying to procrastinate.
  3. Not sure about BH&R or TR but, iirc, they specifically said before T2L came out that they weren't doing b-sides for that album. To my knowledge, they haven't said that this time so I guess it's a possibility, I'm doubtful though. It's been so long since we had an original b-side (apart from Who Knows Who, but even that felt more like a side-project than a Muse song to me) that the concept of getting one seems weird to me at this point.
  4. Wouldn't see the point in releasing it if there weren't any other tracks on there but, knowing Muse, that's exactly what'll happen. At best, I'd expect a live version of Psycho. Studio Reapers would be tasty though.
  5. I'm usually pretty wary whenever something says 'Inspired by Muse' next to it 'cause it's usually a poor attempt at mimicking the band but I thought that was pretty decent actually! Gets a bit repetitive though, could maybe use a bit more variety in the melody and structure.
  6. Yeah, pretty much. Maybe the minor version would sound better if it was done professionally (not to say that guy didn't do a decent job) but, as it is, it sounds pretty generic imo. Wasn't a fan at first but I'm actually starting to like what we've heard from this song so far That really short clip of those Queen-ish vocals is still cringey though.
  7. The vocals on the verses are my second favourite thing about the song, behind the breakdown which is one of the best things they've done in the last 9 years imo. The outro is the only part of the song that I find particularly boring as well (apart from the main riff), I usually switch off at that point. Also, have you seen it live? It's a fucking beast. Easily one of the best songs I've seen them play, and I've seen some pretty decent ones. I know it's your opinion, man, but...fuck.
  8. Well, we didn't really to be fair. Plenty of songs could sound guff or amazing if you only heard 10-15 second snippets of a few sections, mostly without vocals as well.
  9. I don't wanna be salty about no Manchester but, damn man, that crowd deserved to be on the DVD. Easily either the best or joint-best crowd of the tour imo. Hopefully they'll use something from MA as the Christmas present, maybe Dead Star or The Groove.
  10. Nah, way too early. If Mercy is the next single and it does come out before the album (which I'd assume it will if that site's legit, otherwise why advertise it alongside Psycho and DI?), I reckon we'll get it a week or two before the album comes out. Could be the new song they premier at Big Weekend.
  11. Removing two songs from the standard Making Of and making them bonus features instead didn't make any sense either but they did that on the T2L DVD. Also, the leaked video was barely over ten minutes to be fair so they could've easily just rounded it down. Not saying it's definite but I don't really see anything fishy about it.
  12. I highly doubt AP and TSP will be the only rarities they play. I wouldn't be surprised to see stuff like Dead Star, Fury and Hyper Music get played as well. Not that an intimate gig in the US with AP and TSP would be something to shake a stick at in the first place. Plus, there was a bit of an Abso focus throughout the UK tour as well so it's not exactly a US-exclusive thing. As a side note, I've got a feeling TSP will be slowed down slightly *pointless little nugget of info*
  13. The fact that he said they were putting out a song that it's too offensive for radio shows that he wasn't really bothered about it getting much airplay in the first place. At the end of the day, Psycho was another 'controversial' song put out to get a reaction out of people (more of a positive 'wow old muse r back <33' one than a pure shock value one like Unsustainable) and generate hype for the album and I'm pretty sure it did that about as well as they'd have wanted.
  14. Fuuuuck, AP and TSP would make me jelly. Wonder why there's been a bit of an Absolution focus on this tour. Stockholm, Hysteria, TIRO, Fury, The Groove and now (potentially) AP and TSP. Maybe a mini Abso-anniversary thing?
  15. TSP was one of the more requested songs that they didn't get round to playing on the initial tour iirc so I wouldn't be surprised if they brought it back for the NA gigs. I'd be pretty jealous tbh, even if the studio version's a bit boring (I love it, personally), shit would be fun live.
  16. Not sure exactly what you mean Anyway, I'd expect something more like: Psycho Bliss Dead Inside Supermassive The Handler Interlude + Hysteria Madness Starlight Reapers Uprising PIB Knights
  17. I guess there's a chance we could get a second single before the album comes out. I feel like we would've heard about it by now though. 'Tis a strange lull, even some more Insta teasers would be nice.
  18. Pits are fairly common at Muse gigs (in the UK/Europe at least, not sure about NA) but there aren't too many and they're generally pretty tame so there shouldn't be any need to worry.
  19. I'm kinda of the same opinion. The simple visuals like screens can be cool and add to the music without being too distracting (eg. Leeds/Reading 2011) but actors and roulette wheels and flaming chimneys are a bit much for me.
