  1. Hi dear! Thought I'd answer you here so as not to veer hugely off topic in the thread. I'm the assistant editor of an in-house magazine for the oh-so glamorous John Lewis :p. It's not bad and more of a stepping-stone to more journo or publishing work. I've heard you mention in a few threads that you're a journo, too, oui?

  2. Yay, glad you agree! :D It's soooo addictive. Who cares, indeed! Screw the haters, I loves it!

  3. Soo sorry mate, I didn't see your reply! :( I didn't get a notification about it otherwise I would have responded... d'oh! Anyways, hope you're doing good! Have you heard the craziness that is Survival yet? I'm hooked, hehe.

  4. Haha, that's probably because I act like a 16 year old when it comes to spaffing about Muse :$! Weird, cos I've been a fan for going on 8 years now, and I still get super hyper with every album, tour, gig etc. Ah, you're going country! Much cheaper properties than the city, so good move. I like the city, but I don't live right in the centre of London so it's not so bad. I'm an assistant editor at an in-house magazine. It sounds swanky until I mention the company I work for (John Lewis... how glamorous ). It's good fun, and involves some design work as well as journalism, but it's more of a stepping-stone to bigger and better things than a permanent gig.

  5. Woah, you are growing up: house-buying, kid-teaching, media-teching! Great stuff, though - good for you! It's weird to grow up on the Muse boards ... I remember when next to my 'Age' it used to say 21. Now it says 25 (feels old!). Yup, I saw your ace artwork - good to see you've still 'got it' ;). I still remember the Muse t-shirts designs you made. Most of them were way better than the Muse shop, haha.

  6. I'm good too, thanks. Wicked! 10's a nice, healthy number. I'm super excited for teh Muse live again! :awesome: I'm trying for 4/5 UK shows, so that will bump up my tally to 20 Muse gigs . I know, you disappeared :(. Good to see your design skills haven't disappeared, though :p. Hope all's well, and you might see me bouncing around at the Brum gig, haha.

  7. HIYA! How are youuuu?! It's been aaages! Are you gigging Muse-style this year? ;) Hope you've been well! x

  8. OMG SAMMYYY! I know, I am fail! Fail is me. I apologise for my failface! :(

Well, if we kept score, you'd be winning so look at it that way ;).

How es, mi amigo? I just realised there's no sombrero smiley. How can this be?!?! :noey: You're in 'powerful' places now as moddy... can you vote on something like that? lol.

    Hope you're keeping well.

  9. Sorry to hear uni's so crap :(. I know what you mean about rushing into it. A lot of people I knew from school took a gap year before the plunge into uni, which I wish I'd done in hindsight because it can be an overload of studying.

I suppose you could consider dropping out and taking time off before starting again, but if your uni fees are anything like the ones in the UK, it'd probably cost a fortune to leave and go back. Don't worry, though, I'm sure you'll power on! And it's nearly summer, so you should have a couple of months off, right? Count down the days and it'll be over in no time ;).

Wow - impressed that you lost so much after not drinking Coke! I did well with the exercising and not eating/drinking fatty stuff for about three weeks, but it got tiring and boring - and the weight-loss bit was reeeeaally slow - so I couldn't keep it up for too long, haha. I'm just proper lazy! Anyways, I've got a cold at the mo, so that's my excuse for not being a health freak right now!

We're getting better at this replying thing :p!

  10. Hullo! :) Don't worry, I haven't been on here in a while - spent the week at a training 'camp' doing all these crazy activities in order to build my 'leadership' skills or something like that, haha. It was fun but scary!

Well, the journo part of the company I work for is under review, so that's why my job may or may not be around for long. I know, it's hugely competitive as it is to find some form of journalism work without the added problem of recession and lack of jobs etc. I've opened up my search to Publishing as well, cos I'm interested in it, too, but it's equally as tough and competitive. Oh wells.

I'm alrighty otherwise. ;) Planning a late-summer holiday with the fam - we're thinking Italy. I've only been to Milan and that was for a Muse gig, so didn't get to see much of it, hehe. Oh, and I've started attempting exercise and being 'healthy' but it's failed miserably after like one week, haha. I hate the gym and love full-fat Coke, so the failure was inevitable :p.

Hope you get your UK plans sorted. Would be great even if you just came to visit - I think you'll like it here ;).

Aw noes, everything okay with you Sammy? :( Hope uni/life in general isn't getting you down.

  11. Hey Sammy! Sorry for the late reply meself - had the past couple of weeks off work and just been catching up on all the shiz I tend to neglect when I'm working (i.e. the rest of my life, haha!)

Cools about uni - hope it's going well for ya! Nothing majorly exciting here either, tbh. I'm job hunting at the mo cos my current job might not be in existence for much longer *le sigh*, and I just wanna move on, really. Otherwise it's the same ol' stuff!

But OMGZ yaaay about you coming over here at the end of the year :awesome:! Glad it's finally in motion (although I warn ya, there's hardly ever a white Christmas here... you can enjoy the freezing and mostly white February, though :chuckle:). Can't wait for you to visit - I know you'll love London (if you're coming to this side of the island, that is ;)).

Hope you're well me dear! :)

  12. Yaaay! They just read out my text on XFM, asking them to pick Bells as best frontman! This is what I wrote: Bellamy is the god of falsetto and female-esque warbling. For someone so slight, he can belt out a squeal better than those Bee Gee boys or anyone else, for that matter. For that alone, he is the undisputed best front man of our age. Pick him!! Shame I didn't hear it; my boss text me to tell me he just heard it while sat at the office, haha.
  13. SAMMEH! OMG I realised we haven't spoken at all in 2012 ! This is not good :noey:. Sowy for lack of contact, deary, had me a mad couple of months so far with work and familia stuff. But I'm back to spam your wall again... hurrah! ;)

Anyways, how the devil are ya?! 2012 treating you well? Sorry to hear your first year wasn't a thrillfest... but they usually aren't that great. Second and final years are waaay more eventful!

Hope all's dandy 'down under' ('scuse the pun!)

    Lotsa luff! xx

  14. Vanilla setlists are ze future! Seriously, I think Reading and Leeds were the 'rare'-esque live songs, designed to shut the whining boardies up, so Muse can resume with their 'greatest hits' shows. With every album, they have to weave in about seven or eight new songs into the setlists, and I really don't see them increasing their performance time to accommodate more songs... so, unfortunately, the likes of New Born will take a back seat/won't be a staple (they might play here and there like B&H), and Muse gigs will be an almost exclusive parade of their biggest and most recent singles, lasting an hour-and-a-half to two TOPS. Of course, I could be wrong, but pessimism has always agreed with me before .
  15. Haha, oh yes... there's your reply! I see it! :p Just kidding, I'm not great at replies either.

Coool, first year done and dusted. How was it? Be lazy while you can, trust me it only gets worse when you're in a full-time job (I'm making the future sound just dandy, aren't I? :chuckle:)

Same ol' here too, really. Work, eat, sleep, repeat. Most exciting stuff to happen was seeing Incubus live with my mate a few of weeks ago, and the obvious highlight of my year being R&L Fest (Origin live twice = ZOMG WOOOOOW!!!1!11 :D)

I've gone back to being a gaming geek, too, setting up a game station in my room - it's Nintendo-tastic, haha. Yes, I'm sooo rock n roll :$. Hope yer well, SS! x

  16. Haven't been on in a while, but hope yer good Sammeh! How's the modding going? Lotsa luff xx

  17. Muse donate £15k-worth of music equipment to Plymouth University This is probably 'tidbit'-worthy! More than a week old but it's the first I'd heard of it /badfan. lol
  18. That's probably the reason the slower songs were invented :p

  19. Crushing during GL? :stunned: Wow, musers will mosh to anything! But as much as I hate the crush, I also hate the statues, as you say. They either don't know the songs (apart from FG, of course) or are 'too cool' to get excited/move a muscle!
