  1. HELLO! :D So sorry, I haven't been on here in a while :( How is Sammmmmmeh? x

  2. True I was thinking it's most likely cos it was stolen from somewhere else as per usual, lol. They said it was The Observer in the article, but that might well be the bit of factual inaccuracy I missed!
  3. I don't know how it manages to be so insignificant live compared to studio - it's usually the other way around with Muse! It doesn't pack as much of a punch, and yeah way overplayed. The crowd does love it, but enough already, lol. Plus, crowds love New Born and SS and they're thinking of dropping them in this tour A Muse gig without either is a crime, imo, no matter how many times they've played them.
  4. That IS controversial IBTY gets a lot of hate (especially on ML) for some reason but I find it really catchy, and the French bit is just fun. The only track I'd skip or cringe at is Guiding Light. And I still love Resistance apart from the 'it could be wrong' bits.
  5. It's probably my least or second least fave album, but that doesn't mean I don't like it - I actually think most of the songs are really good. I think it gets more hate than it should cos there are plenty of great tracks. My only gripe with it is that it doesn't feature more than one song I considered to be outstanding, whereas most of their other albums have more 'classic' tracks that are firmly in my all-time favourites. My other controversial comment is the Feeling Good studio version is awesome
  6. September 30 2012: Muse's Dom Howard: 'We gave Chris Wolstenholme an ultimatum to quit drinking' http://www.nme.com/news/muse/66386 Muse potentially could have been over :'( Glad Chris got sorted, though. In other news, shock and horror at the first NME article I've read about Muse that's entirely factually accurate
  7. http://www.nme.com/news/muse/65797 Wouldn't be NME if they didn't pinch info from other interviews and passed it off and news
  8. OMG, just read it all after buying this morning: SO fucking excited for the Chris songs!! This is the first time they've Eever done something like this, and I'm hugely lookin forward to how it's all gonna sound. It's got me pwoper excited for the whole thing: I can't fecking wait!! . I know they change things up with every album but this one sounds like it's gonna be different to anything we've ever heard from Muse. Bring it oooon!!!!
  9. Yes, you were. I can agree that BH&R mastering could have been better, though. But I'm not technical enough to think it's poorly or badly produced - just that it could have sounded more crisp, for lack of a better word.
  10. Not at all. Studio version is great, imo. The only thing I could say against it is that FG is the only song that doesn't fit in as well - I think they did a great rock version of it, but it's not as seamless as the rest of the tracks on OoS. I don't even have a huge problem with the live version, it's just that they keep effing playing it as a crowd-pleaser when they could be playing some of their own songs .
  11. HAOW DARRREEE YEWWW!!!!!111 You're entitled to think that, I just can't hear it myself. I would feel physical pain if I found a flaw with this album, lol.
  12. This thread should die . Honestly, of all the albums you're gonna critique, I can't see how OoS could come under fire over poor quality. Other albums, I can hear imperfections and quality issues, but I don't get the argument in this case. I may look at OoS with rose-tinted specs, but it really is almost impossible to fault, imo. If fans are picking holes with this album, they're doomed to disappointment for the rest of Muse's life! Edit: I'm probably completely conforming to the stereotype of fans who can't say a bad word about OoS, but I don't care: that's my opinion of the album.
  13. Hullo! :D Working loads! :( So much so that I've spent a solid 24 hours away from the boards  - haha, I know I'm a loser! What about you? x

  14. Cool - sounds ace. Not sure yet, to be honest. I might be headed down the path of redundancy myself soon, cos my department's 'under review'. It sucks but at least it'll get me moving onto other things quicker. I think I'd rather head for magazines, or even books. Gotta have a thorough think about it soon, though, before I end up jobless!

  15. Hi dear! Thought I'd answer you here so as not to veer hugely off topic in the thread. I'm the assistant editor of an in-house magazine for the oh-so glamorous John Lewis :p. It's not bad and more of a stepping-stone to more journo or publishing work. I've heard you mention in a few threads that you're a journo, too, oui?

  16. Yay, glad you agree! :D It's soooo addictive. Who cares, indeed! Screw the haters, I loves it!

  17. Soo sorry mate, I didn't see your reply! :( I didn't get a notification about it otherwise I would have responded... d'oh! Anyways, hope you're doing good! Have you heard the craziness that is Survival yet? I'm hooked, hehe.

  18. Haha, that's probably because I act like a 16 year old when it comes to spaffing about Muse :$! Weird, cos I've been a fan for going on 8 years now, and I still get super hyper with every album, tour, gig etc. Ah, you're going country! Much cheaper properties than the city, so good move. I like the city, but I don't live right in the centre of London so it's not so bad. I'm an assistant editor at an in-house magazine. It sounds swanky until I mention the company I work for (John Lewis... how glamorous ). It's good fun, and involves some design work as well as journalism, but it's more of a stepping-stone to bigger and better things than a permanent gig.

  19. Woah, you are growing up: house-buying, kid-teaching, media-teching! Great stuff, though - good for you! It's weird to grow up on the Muse boards ... I remember when next to my 'Age' it used to say 21. Now it says 25 (feels old!). Yup, I saw your ace artwork - good to see you've still 'got it' ;). I still remember the Muse t-shirts designs you made. Most of them were way better than the Muse shop, haha.
