Starlight, followed by Undisclosed Desires and Neutron Star Collision. But if you mean the slow, romantic songs like Endlessly and Unintended, I'll say Falling Away with You is my favourite too.

tbf, it's really a choice between Aftermath, Madness, NSC and Unintended... so it's not a hard choice. :chuckle:

I guess Endlessly would count; but it feels more wistful.

All of those songs are better than aftermath ;)

Endlessly is, I just don't know how traditionally "romantic" I feel it is. It seems like it's more a song about being somewhat afraid of how in love you are, like being consigned to the fact that you're going to get hurt.

NSC at face value is super positive, it's just the situation surrounding it's writing that makes it sad.

Unintended is romantic in a similar way to Aftermath and Madness, I guess; coming out of a bad situation into (hopefully) a good one.

God, Muse's "romantic" songs are actually rather depressing... :chuckle:

The saddest fact about Neutron Star Collision is how it was released for a Twilight movie, that made people hate it so much. Is an upbeat song, nothing stellar, but nothing wrong.

People didn't make that fuss when Blackout was used for Southland Tales, for example, or Hysteria in Millions (Maybe because these are not bad movies?).

Shine Acoustic above everything else.

I'd say Shine's more of a break-up song if anything. Assuming we're going by lyrics anyway.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Invincible yet. I always interpreted it as a very romantic song - two people against the rest of the world. :)

Invincible didn't come to mind, although it is a positive song, I guess I don't find it that romantic, maybe?

I like it much better than Aftermath, but find Aftermath way more romantic.

I'm interested in hearing people's interpretations of why Shine is a romantic song.
