It's all just statements like "America sucks" and "rise up and take the power back." Drones are just a much more controversial and specific issue "America sucks" tbf, is pretty offensive to quite a lot of people, and not really that vague. For the Muse lyrics, I always preferred the vague ones; unless really specific "political" type lyrics are something you agree with, they tend to put you off the music/band. It's one thing to be a band that has always made those sorts of points, but if Muse starts spewing bs that annoys me or that I disagree with enough to not want to listen to, I'd be pretty bummed at this stage. This. Are famous people not allowed to make jokes nowadays without everyone thinking they're being serious? Matt's so very uncommunicative on social media, though... He posts like three things in one day and then nothing for three months. Hard to really get a sense of context or humor from his posts, especially when they're so minimalist sometimes they're almost nonsense anyways. It's going to be tomorrow, I can feel it in my heart and soul and things. I thought I felt it in my gut, but turns out I just had to poop. That's usually what it is, anyways. You could oppose this to the 'Faces of Mars' that was used for the 30STM album This is War, hundreds of fans faces were used (used as an insert over the main cover art). I'm still sticking by my theory that the cover art is the Instagram post of the device. The Instagram photo is a blurry, hastily Photoshopped picture they stole off of the internet... they would hardly have needed an artist for that.
