SpecialAgentKit
actually prefer save me, the ending guitar sounds amazing, liquid state feels like its trying to be a really heavy rock song but fails, you can barely hear the guitar and i swear there's piano in there too? why would you put piano in there still don't see how it sounds like foo fighters either, more like qotsa

29pearls
Liquid State is such a throwaway song- bland attempt at a heavy tune, barely-there vocals (sorry Chris), too Foo Fighter-y for my taste. Save Me is vastly better, tho over-long. A deeply meaningful song, & love the Radiohead-type guitar work. Advice for next album: Chris' songwriting is pretty good, a nice contrast to Matt, but he should not be singing lead vocal, ever.

Picko
'Radiohead-type guitar work' probably means that it's a similar tone to something like Let Down.

Strangeseas
Indeed. Endlessly too. Indubitably. Its guitar work is quite similar to Idiotique. OT: Hmm... Tbh I don't really care for both songs. (Both songs have potential, but that's it.)

Corona Radiata
Chris should do a solo album and make it mostly trippy shit like Save Me. I'd probably illegally download it check it out.

hyper_chondriac_muser
Good LAWD it's impossible to decide! I would have said Liquid State when the album first came out cos I'm a fan of the heavier stuff, but I find Save Me so overwhelmingly beautiful, I couldn't possibly favour one over the other. Anything Chris does is win, tbh, so both get my vote, haha. <

Matt's Jawbone
Save me. Brought me to tears when I first heard it because it sounded like a genuine cry for help. Knowing his harsh addiction and that he lived through it, I'm sure people could really find inspiration from Chris' story about his battles with alcoholism
