LewisF
He could be doing another vocal/guitar solo, i.e. Muscle Museum, Survival. What vocal solo did he do in Survival?
WeirdF
http://www.der-ring.de/bands/muse "We're excited to kick off the tour in Germany and we can't wait to get out playing festivals and new songs again. Returning to the Ring after five years, where the fans are always incredible, is going to be really special." Looks like they will definitely be playing new stuff at Der Ring. Doesn't necessarily mean the album will have officially dropped by then though, but I suppose it's safe to assume that it's likely that it will have. redneonfish
What vocal solo did he do in Survival? Listen carefully to the solo at the end and you can hear Matt singing.

LewisF
Thanks! I'd known about the Supremacy one but the vocal solo in Survival is something new to me. Cheers both of you
sade
I'm happy to learn an outside producer is involved. I don't get why people hold it against Lange that he's worked with pop artists. Plenty of producers work with different kind of artists and part of the job is adjusting to your client's style. I'm more concerned, considering Muse's tendency to borrow too directly style-wise/Matt's current infatuation with classic rock, that they just ask Lange follow his previous 70's/80's work too closely. Finn.
still once of my favourite things they've done Supremacy and Survival are awesome. And think people complain at first (about Survival, mainly)
Mattestro
I don't think I've ever seen anyone complain about Supremacy maybe apart from the production
That Little Animal
Back to the producer discussion. One thing Lange does is making them play until their fingers bleed.
Mattestro
It's cool how these simple studio photos make the build up to the new album a lot more exciting
heyjackk
I don't think I've ever seen anyone complain about Supremacy maybe apart from the production yeah neither, i know a lot of people feel it was over produced but other than that i thought it was a board accepted song
That Little Animal
yeah neither, i know a lot of people feel it was over produced but other than that i thought it was a board accepted song It was met with initial excitement, because heavy riffs, but I feel it didn't really make a lasting impression on most. Peter.
It was met with initial excitement, because heavy riffs, but I feel it didn't really make a lasting impression on most. I got the feeling that somehow the main riff got weaker with every listen
LewisF
There wasn't enough beef or fuzz on the guitar like it is live.
heyjackk
I got the feeling that somehow the main riff got weaker with every listen certainly had more oomph live
Spectrum IV
I don't think I've ever seen anyone complain about Supremacy maybe apart from the production I find it reflective of T2L as a whole: great at times and terribly boring at others. Particularly the first "solo" makes me snooze.
Hat
I find the part right before the actual riff really annoying, and the actual riff is boring.
LewisF
I really love the harmonic/feedback thing they did at some concerts last year in the intro
jonisdead
He could be doing another vocal/guitar solo, i.e. Muscle Museum, Survival. Would definitely be cool, though I'd really love if the album was just a live take in general as well.
FabriPav
2. The album is being recorded with live takes because why else would he have his guitar and a mic set up at the same time? Live takes here read as: the album recording might be all live rather than everything being overlaid like they usually do. Think "Suck It And See" by Arctic Monkeys, they used this method for that album. The fact that you felt the need to explain what "the album is being recorded with live takes" means is hilarious. WeirdF
Do guys think that mazbe we'll get a new song for their Christmas present, or at least some preview? I was hoping for a proshot of Plug in Baby from 2007 or something.
