JessicaSarahS Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 NCM Fathom, Warner Music Group and Omniverse Vision are partnering to present Muse Live from London. The performance will launch Muse's 6th Studio album, The 2nd Law, and feature tracks from the new album as well as classics from their 16 year career. Broadcasting from one of London's most iconic landmarks, Battersea Power Station, the event will be a theatrical spectacle with dramatic flair that has made Muse so successful with fans - including a shoot with helicopters amid the full backdrop of the impressive London landscape. https://celebrationcinema.com/movie/Muse+Live+From+London/9-17-2012 Fandango says the movie opens Friday, September 7. http://www.fandango.com/muselivefromlondon_157461/movietimes
Furygirl Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 If the performance is Sept. 16, how can the movie open Sept. 7? Edit: This ML link says Sept. 16, but I don't know where they got that date from. Maybe I'm missing something. http://www.muselive.com/index.php?m=single&id=6753

JessicaSarahS Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 Maybe the performance is before then? That's what I'm thinking. And it looks like some theaters are showing it in the US. So hopefully more theaters pick it up. Probably have to drive to a major city to watch it, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.
Killer Rabbit Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Muser meets at the screenings? Fathom has the date as September 17th: http://www.FirstLookOnline.com/movies/544214-overview Maybe it's the 16th in the UK since the album comes out the 17th there and the 17th for the US since the album comes out the 18th here?

TheDarkShines Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Lucky I'm away that weekend and don't get back till Monday night and haven't found it in Edinburgh cinema websites At least you, and i will too, get to see the real thing in about 3 months
Mechagodzilla Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Hope it gets shown in Exeter or Plymouth, or anywhere in Devon and not just restricted to major cities so I can go see it. xD
TheDarkShines Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Hope it gets shown in Exeter or Plymouth, or anywhere in Devon and not just restricted to major cities so I can go see it. xD Omg same, I live in Devon too!
HannahG123 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 At least you, and i will too, get to see the real thing in about 3 months True maybe I'm just being greedy. Just don't want to miss out on anything
serpentsatellite Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Where does it imply anything about it showing in the US?
TheDarkShines Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 South West? Near Plymouth, Exeter for you I'm guessing Did you go to Teignmouth to see Muse run with the torch? OT: Tickets are gonna be soo hard to get for this, good luck to those who are gonna try! Will be epic getting the first hearing of some of the songs live though

Stood on Shaldon bridge and saw Matt grinning like an idiot, Chris holding the torch and Dom looked right at my camera. T'was awesome! (off topic, sorry!) If there ARE Devon screenings (which there should be), I'm gonna definitely try to grab a ticket. If not, what're the chances of it being released on DVD in the future?
FabriPav Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 We're not even sure it's a normal gig, it seems a more theatrical experience. I think it might be part of a DVD in the future, if so.
mapoftheglorious Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 If its going to be shown in the cinema it will definitley be made for purchase in the near future shortly after, its like the HAARP set up.

So did I It really was a day I'll never forget There hopefully will screenings nationwide (and maybe even worldwide?), including Plymouth and maybe Exeter too. DVD would be awesome, would be good to release it to for those who couldn't make it to a screening.

Although I probably wouldn't be able to make a screening, knowing me, so yes a DVD would be just great.

I'm excited and happy that they have decided to do this Also, is this like Devon musers unite thread And you're going to the same gig as me in october

FabriPav Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Hi, I'm from Devon too! actually I'm not, but I wanted to be in the party
forevermusic Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 I've been and am going to Devon on holiday. That's the most I can contribute to this.
TheMuseSmurf Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 do Warner still have links with Vue Cinemas? As they used to be called Warner Village Cinemas back in the day, would make sense for them to be shown in all of them
